I've had one incident of road rage on I-66 in 1999. In my case, we came up on my exit and I acted as if I was going to pass it. Once the idiot was committed, I clear the side and swerved off. You really just want to get distance.

About the same time, there was a road rage incident down in Birmingham. When it was over, one lady driver had shot and killed another lady driver.

This is one reason why I like the idea of autonomous cars or as I prefer to call them, robot chaufeurs.

I did that exact same maneuver back in the early 80's when I lived in the Seattle area. In my case it wasn't an exit I had intended/wanted but I needed to escape the situation and managed a heroic swerve off of I-90 on Mercer Island.

It's the sort of thing that can ruin your day.

Just out him and see how his family, marriage, and job goes.

Then he can ponder if his road rage was worth it.

I think this nut thinks the Prius driver after switched lane and intentionally block him from switching lane by driving next to him.

i was trying to figure that out, you may be right.

he's on you tube, it shouldn't take long for people who know him to find out. of course, if i knew him and saw the video, i'd avoid him like the plague!

Just saying that Mr. Ho who had the dash cam may have some involvement, but not much. I watched the whole video and if Mr. Ho was smart after the can of soda was thrown at the car he could have slowed down, eased up a little and put some distance between him and the Texas plated guy, let a few cars get in front of him, maybe merge to the left, and try and put some distance between him and the Road rage guy. It seems to me he kept driving and following closely behind the guy which provoked additional rage, although the guy seemed at times to slow down and engage Mr. Ho.

Now it would be interesting to see what occurred prior to the first occurance. Did Mr. Ho cut the guy of? Was he following him closely and flipping him the bird. However no excuse for Road Rage, but you certainly don't want to get people rilled up either.

IN any event there is no excuse for that erratic behavior from the Can Thrower. I'm positive this will end up in court.

    Two things....
-Notice the dents on the idiots car? Guess he's engaged in roadrage car cutoff/chicken before this incident.
-Why didn't the guy with the cam just fall back and lose this alpha-hotel in traffic rather than keeping in shouting distance for 7 min? You have to choose your battles- and obviously the other driver is off his meds or something so just give him some space and go on with your life.

Here are the violations at least he will get:
    1. Throwing trash out the window
    2. Passing on the shoulder. He pass the black Honda on the shoulder.
    3. Stopping in the freeway lane blocking traffic.
    4. Parking in the freeway, once he left the car.
    5. Careless driving, cutting cars off.
    6. Reckless driving, changing multiple lanes.
    7. Unsafe driving, almost causing collisions.

    Wow that is crazy.

But advice from Judge Milian is probably the best. You never know if the psycho you are engaged in road rage with has a weapon. Lots of these cases end up with homicides. Take an exit, get away. Being late is worth not tempting your life.

I agree 100%. He should have fallen back and try and avoid additional confrontation.

But what happened to get him to this point?

So to amuse myself I watched the video. It's apparent an altercation occurred before the clip begins, however the young mans actions indicate his days are numbered, and it's not days of freedom I am referring to. His behavior, while not uncommon, indicates he is likely to hear BOOM himself soon, but only for a fraction of a second. Rest in peace...well maybe not.

...or maybe he will be lucky enough to enjoy his new sex life while guest in a State or Federal facility. Free room and board, plus he can get married now too.

The angry one has pretty well lost it. At one time, he blocks an exit which is how I escaped my first encounter. The angry one knew that trick . . . this was not his first rodeo.
