child safety hooks missing on my c1

ill have to look at my c1 when i go back to the car

 

I just installed a car seat base last weekend. They are U shaped, about 1/4" in diameter, and you should be able to feel them directly under the round buttons indicating the location. It is a tight fit so if you wanted to actually see them, you need to really pry at the seat. They are not easy to find or get to. It took me probably a half hour to hook onto them.

 

are you referring to the LATCH or tether harnesses?

both are required by law and should be there. the LATCH in my 2013 C2 were tricky after my last car since they are more hidden.

 

I have a C2 and as others have stated, they are there and VERY difficult to get to.

 

I will try to take a pic and post as soon as i have time. the label is actually kind of misleading (to me at least) as to where the slots are. and the hooks are quite deep. i couldnt really feel much by hand but my son's booster found them when I shoved and it latched.

 

Check out the pictures on the Prius C 12V battery post, the hooks are clearly displayed. I find it easier to latch the car seat on the side of the hook.

I drew a red arrow to indicate where the LATCH hook is. Hope that helps somebody!

 

hey, I have a related question: where's the latch in the cargo area for running the strap over the top of the rear seat and securing to top of the child seat? thnx

 

so to answer my own question, the latch in question is on the backside of the back seat... and there r three, which allows you to place the child seat behind the driver, passenger, or in the middle.

to answer the op, they're there... when you stick your finger between the cushions, reach directly down more than horizontally or diagonally.

 

I have mine latched between the 2 cushions. I had no idea either about the openings in the picture. I'll have to look for them.
