    Hi all,

My 2005 Prius was rear-ended by a pickup truck recently. After the body work was completed, I drove about 20 minutes before the master warning light and brake system light went on. The dealer service center found code P0A84 indicating a hybrid battery cooling fan problem. I asked if this part routinely wears out, and the answer was no, usually only if damaged in a rear-end collision. Any thoughts on this? Do you know of other problems which typically crop up after this type of damage?

    All input welcome. Thanks!

In hot weather, the cooling fan moves air over the batteries and is vented on the rear passenger side. Maybe the body shop did something that clogged the vent.
