YES LEATHER IN NY! After Dealer Horror...

I finally picked up my 06 with Factory, yes Factory leather in NY. After ordering an 05 from Sunrise Toyota in Oakdale NY and not getting a call until November that it was in, I refused the car. I told them I wanted to upgrade to an 06 with Factory Leather. I told them I didn't want the car til after the first of the year. On the 3rd Of January I went to the dealer only to find out that my salesman had quit. I was assigned a new salesman who told me he would have to talk to the inventory manager to find out when I could expect my car, but she was off. I was told to call him the and he would have an answer. The next day I went there in person only to find out HE was off and the INVENTORY MGR was there. Now I am really getting pissed! I asked to talk to the sales manager who then proceeded to tell me that Prius doesn't come with leather but they could install aftermarket leather. I told him I know for a fact that there is factory leather Prius being made. He told me my salesman would call me the next day with an answer. Two days go by and NO call! Now I am REALLY MAD!

I now go to Toyota of Westbury. Boy am I glad I did! They told me they could order the car no problem exactly the way I wanted it. I was told 6 to 8 weeks possibly a little longer. I didn't care so I left a deposit. Well 5 Weeks later I got a call that my car was in! I just picked up my Barcelona Red with tan Leather yesterday! I love it! On top of them being able to get me the car I wanted, they put in Sirius Satellite radio NO CHARGE (integrated factory unit) complete with 9 months FREE service! They also took the time to explain how everything works in the Prius!
This dealership gets an A+ for service! My salesman's name was Joel. He was the best! I highly recommend Toyota of Westbury and this Salesman!

It's funny how different people have different experiences with different dealers. NOt only were they great, I was able to pick up the extended warranty Platinum, for $1050.00. I hadn't planned on buying it until the 3yr was almost up but. They also knocked my interest rate on my financing by 1.5 Percent.

Did you get your car with leather too? Did you get satellite for free too? Just curious
