The real key is the wheel specs.
bolt circle 4x100mm; hub bore 68.5mm
offset down to 40 mm minimum
6x15, 16,or 17" but use a tire that isn't more than 23.8" diameter. Or section more than 205 but reduce diameter slightly with wider tires toi not affect mpg or acceleration. Thats for OEM RIDE HEIGHT> IF LOWERED IT ALL CHANGES>
make sure the spokes clear the calipers.

So after a lot of back and forth on 16's or 17's I decided to pull the trigger. Was going to go higher end, but figured why, I can get a decent wheel and not worry and the weight was in the zone. Pics are not that great, but you get the jist. I swapped out my alloy 15's and will try to sell them locally.

    Wheel Brand: Rota
    Wheel Model: Grids (white)
    Wheel Weight: 14lbs
    Size: 16x7
    Offset: 40mm
    Tire Size: 195/50r16
Tire Pressure Monitors: Yes, no issues
Difference felt in ride quality: Too soon to tell - gotta get the tires worn in first, but so far so good.
Price Paid: $600 for the wheels only
Fitment Issues: None and lowered on Tein H-Tech's

That setup looks awesome! Need more/better pics though. How are the MPG's? Any immediate difference?

I know, it's that time of day where the sun just isn't going to give me enough to get a decent shot, but I will follow up with better pics.

So far the MPG is about the same. It was a short 15-mile commute back from the shop in stop and go traffic so I need more time to see what the effect are. I believe the setup is pretty close to the OE plus size specs (16" 195/50r16), however I don't know what the OE offset or width is.

I was having a lot of buyers remorse at first. All of the pics I have gone through over the last 3-weeks of 16 vs. 17 and then seeing cars like camery's and accords/civics where the new setup actually made the car looked like it was raised...I can say waiting for my car was a bear. I've got a two inch finger gap which is slightly more than I had on the previous setup so not bad at all. I love the slammed look, but not going through that one again, been there done that. I have to say so far I am happy.

As for the tires, I have Continental Extreme Contact DWS and all of the reviews say horrible for the first 300 miles or so because they are squirley. I can say it's true for my short ride, but it should improve after the film wears off. Good meaty tire for the beat up roads around here.

Usually not. The aero drag [and tire rolling drag] play a much bigger part on fuel economy than the couple pounds you save on rotational inertia. Given identical wheel aerodynamics, a lighter wheel may gain you a tenth of an MPG in city (just a rough guess), but zero on highway as you're already rolling so inertia plays almost no part.

    Maybe asked already... (?)

How has (if at all) the upgrade to larger tires changed your MPG?

    Thanks! :)

The consensus is that 16" wheels (as long as they're lighter than the stock steel wheels) will not effect MPG's significantly depending on tire size. If you maintain a 185/195 width LRR( Low Rolling Resistance) tire, you should stay the same. 17" and up have been said to have negative consequences (3-5% MPG reduction).
If anyone has input, please correct me.

Looking to swap out my wheels to this wheel. It's going to be a 17X8. Hopefully it will fit or I'm going to be doing some chopping. Looking to have them gold plated or painted Nike box orange.
