Does the car feel cooler during the day?
Can you see the tint At 50%?

I would say it's definitely cut down on the heat a little and also the glare. You can definitely tell from the outside that it's tinted IMO with the 50%.

Hmmm now I need to determine if cutting down the heat a little is worth 200. Thanks for the info.

You didn't even ask if he had ceramic. In either case, you'd want to go ceramic so you can get the lightest tint for cutting down on heat. I'd stick with 80% to be safe.

I have a question for you and others that may tint the front windshield, DOES TINTING HELP THE GLARE AS I AM UNBLE TO READ MY DIGITAL DASH AND EVEN TO KNOW HOW FAST I AM GOING. I HAVE A 2013 PRIUS AND WITH SUN GLASSES ON JUST CANNOT BE READ. Please please reply

Are they polarized sunglasses? If so, they'll interfere with viewing the speedometer (as it's reflected from the bottom).

I am new ot this tinting thing. when you talk of the %age what does it actually mean. Is it the %age of light that will pass through making the lower %age to be darker as compared to higher %age ?

i assumed you had ceramic as most prius owners want the best material for the car :) I just put on Formula 1 pinnacle and I'm some what disappointed with the heat rejection maybe I was expecting too much.

Yes, it's the percent of light that is passed through. Right, lower percentage is darker. Realize though the windows are factory tinted, so your tint installer needs to factor that in too.

It definitely helps eliminate the glare. I didn't have problems seeing the dash display so much as I did with seeing my nav screen. Dumb question here, but is your brightness all the way up on your display?

Yes. Definitely all the way. I don't even bother with the nav screen. I just need to be able to see how fast I am going. Also, I really do need my prescription sun glasses on.

Unless you possess a special ability to change basic physics, have your doctor prescribe you a non-polarized version of your sunglasses.

I have polarized sunglasses, Maui Jim, and I can see the dash just fine, Also you may want to adjust the lighting, in sun the dash should get brighter and dimmer in the dark....

If it's a newly installed film you'll have a ton of bubbles until the remaining liquid evaporates.

Waited over a week. No bueno. Took it back to the shop. They tried popping them but not perfect. It will get redone this Saturday. I'll post a follow-up.

Happy to report the that the windshield was retinted today. It's not 100% but pretty darn close to it. Soooo much better than the initial install. The shop even threw in 3M clear bra for the headlights for free, to compensate for my troubles. ;-)
