Just started having a problem with the evse. I plug it into the outlet the connect to the car. The charge indicator lights up but 15 seconds later you can hear the charger click off. The light on the charger stays amber and not red. I've reset the charging unit and it is happening both at the outlets at work and at home.

Anyone else experience this or know how to correct it.

Can you get access to another charger to check if it's the charger or the car ????

Make sure the charge timer in the vehicle is not turned on. If it's on then the charge unit will come on for about 10 or so seconds then shut off and wait until it gets the message from the car to start the charge.

There's a tell-tale green light at the far right of the instrument panel that will flash when the ignition is off to let you know the timer is set.

I just did it last week! Luckily I have a level 2 charger in the garage, so little harm was done. ;-)
