Glove Compartment Noise

Have you emptied the glovebox and see if the noise goes away? And tried taping the box in position?

 

I had the same problem with my 2013 C2. I checked the glove compartment door to see if there was a way to adjust, nothing. I noticed on the door itself there were two rubber nubs. I rotated these. Lo and behold, the noise is gone. I don't know why this worked, but, it did for me and it has been at least a week since I have had a rattle. Now I can listen to my Django Reinhardt CD, scratches and all, without the irritating noise from the glove compartment.

I tried the posting suggesting wiping the inner clove compartment door with ARMORALL It solved my noise problem. I really coated the inner door with the stuff. I did not wipe the liquid off with a rag. Instead I let the liquid dry on in inner lip of the door in order to get a thick film between the door and dash panel. No more noise!

 

Toyota has a TSB for the 2012 C. It's a replacement glove box door.

A temporary solution to the problem instantly is to leave the glovebox open. But there is a bulletin from Toyota indicating it's a problem and there is a replacement glove box they'll put in. However I had it done and it didn't fix anything.
