It's kind of the same here, the sales people are really nice, but they are sales people and all they see are the 90 cars on the lot. The cars I have for sale are on the lot!

Next year! I need sales now! Easy just to say no changes in 2014, thinking you will just buy 2013. :)

Thanks for that. I need to wait until April 2014, so I don't mind. I personally doubt that that was a genuine response to your question. What the sales people don't seem to grasp, is the value that is, the prospective owners are shopping for.

    Thanks, SuperGLS.

Those are primarily trim additions like the Prius Plus Package and the Persona, but so far exterior refreshes have been happening every 2 years.

Don't bother with dealers. We will be the first to know right here on PC as those information always migrate here.

Yeah Michael, I suppose we'll have the info by then.

32k, certainly. At times during these visits to dealers I just want to say "I know more about the car than you" but I'm not that mean. Hah.

Selling cars for a living is a craft that needs to be mastered. Rebutting client's reasoning supportive of MY refresh with a blanket statement will hardly make one a client.

There will definitely be a refresh to the MY '14, and the consensus has been that the changes will be minor. C'mon, there is no harm done in admitting almost the obvious, dear sales folks!

Thankfully, there are some notable exceptions. The original sales person that I worked with while drafting my initial Liftback deal was exceptionally supportive of my requests. When I test-drove the vehicle for over an hour, I asked if I could take it my place and ask my SO to come down and see the vehicle for herself, along with my 4.5yo son. Due to advanced pregnancy she could not attend the dealership, so in a way, the dealership arrived to her. She was very pleased with the sales person's demo. He also offered to keep in the loop on the future updates to the MY; this is whom I will be leaving my money with.

    Take care!

Or the sales people at these dealers have no passion for cars or the product they are selling and could care less of what changes are planned on the 2014! Sucks for people who do care!

Here in Canada, it looks as tho they have eliminated the Performance plus package for 2014, which is essentially a base model prius but with 17 forged rims, a body kit and a special badge.

From what I suspect, the performance plus package wasn't selling well and the one I picked up on the lot had a manufacturing date more than 7 months from the time I purchased it.

Will the Persona come back for the US? I still don't see that model listed on Toyota USA's site.
