Does anyone know if it's possible to stop the automatic door locks from locking and unlocking every time I get in and out of the car? I just want all the doors to stay locked until I unlock them manually.

Why would I want this? Well, because the passenger side door lock is flakey and locks only about half the time. I have to actually watch to make sure it locks and try it over and over again until it does. If I could just have it stay locked all the time I wouldn't have this problem.

Why won't I get this fixed? Because the dealer wants almost $600! That's ridiculous.

You can cancel the automatic door locking and unlocking, pls refer to your Owner's Manual or this link (page 91-92).

If you have Display Audio System, you can refer to this link (page 117).

Hey there Vincent! Thanks so much for your post. I did see this section in the manual but I guess I was confused by the goofy instructions at first. "Juggle 3 woodchucks clockwise while naked and facing East to turn function X on" is how the manual reads to me. Even then there's no visual or audible confirmation that function X is on or off except to actually test it. Geez. I wish I had the newer Prius with the menu driven system.
