Makes it easier for the Police to find if the exhaust is loud (no thanks, I like clean & quiet)

I did not buy a quiet car to make as much noise as I could.

With it being that loud you can hear it misfiring. But perhaps loud is all that matters?

Nothing like bouncing it off the rev limiter  Can I ask how old you are ?
This might shed some light on this post ;)

Soo... what exactly did you do to do this? I don't know if anyone else on here as heard of doing this with a Prius.

What have you done to your exhaust? Replace the cats with test pipes and then a muffler swap? Do you have photos of what the system looks like?

I recently did a DC header, got rid of 1 of the 2 cats, got rid of the resonator and put 2 round Magnaflows in their place with an immediate exhaust dump and it sounds nothing like this.

Also, interesting idea of using the vinyl on the back bumper to make it look like an aftermarket kit. Looks pretty good. Any more photos of the Vinyl work?

Yeah i use plasti dip since i can go crazy with it and take it off. (I'll let you see some pictures once i upload)
As for my Exhaust, I removed my muffler and resonator and have a Exhaust tip welded onto a 3 inch pipe.
So it's pretty much a 90% straight pipe setup. The price to do this was.... $50. Loss of Back pressure is not an issue.

How did you get the hybrid system to allow you to ping redline at such a slow speed? It doesn't even sound like the engine rev'd up enough to even come close to the 4500 RPM.

Agree the loss of back pressure isn't a problem with the assistance of the electric motor. I didn't notice a power loss problem with my setup either...just rather a noise issue. Wonder if you'll notice that the car charges the traction battery quicker after the exhaust mod like mine does...

    :)
    I like it!
    No.
    Not the car.
The fact that there are kids out there that are willing to pimp out a G2 and make it sound like a ragged out 10-year-old Honda Civic.
In addition to giving me top cover on the highway, it kind of adds a whole counterbalance thing to the Prius Prude image.
    I will say this.
    It's a little more eco-chic than putting a 6-inch body lift and a set of truck nutz on an F150 4x4. :D

If we assume he simply cut a pasted some random noise onto some random video, it all becomes clear.
He does not know enough about a Prius to know that it never shifts gears, never gets to redline under 60 MPH, has no rev limiter that cuts out the ignition, etc. until 112 MPH
