    For 20+ years it's been 40,000 miles ( or more ) annually. Since 11-05 it's in a Prius now B) at 150 miles RT.

In fact since 1981 I've never even worked and lived in the same state.

122 miles R/T each day 4 or 5 days a week. Went from filling up my truck every other day at $14 to $17 per day to once per week in the Prius

Husband has a 76 mile round trip commute. He stopped using the Prius, in favor of his Accord, at the beginning of Winter. He'll start using Foxy again once Spring arrives; he loves the Accord's heated seats.

18 miles each way, over residential, hills and freeways (used to be 5). If I had (and wanted to use) the HOV stickers, add another 40 miles each way (which is why I ain't got them).

My former commute was ~35 miles one way, from El Segundo (next to LAX) to Huntington Beach. I hated it for the whole 17 months that I endured it. Now my commute is roughly 15 miles on surface streets from Los Alamitos to Huntington Beach.

If I took the freeway it would be about 10 miles, but between Seal Beach and Fountain Valley on weekday mornings the 405 freeway south is a gigantic parking lot and I learned the hard way to not take the freeway to work unless it's a holiday or the day before a holiday. I'd rather be bumping along at 35-45 mph w/stoplights and stop signs than having it take me 10-15 minutes to go 1 mile on the freeway.

And please, turn the CAPS lock off. We can see your threads just as easily when you type normally and stop yelling with CAPS on.

I only have about 2 miles to commute, but then drive for my job, so put on between another 10 and 120 miles during the day. When I do long trips my mileage improves, especially when I get to go downhill on the way home.

32 miles one way. 30% city, 70% highway. And a bunch of hills to go up/down. Average MPG I get is around 42 to 44. Previous car (a '96 RAV4) got 22 to 24 MPG on the same commute. Needless to say, I'm quite pleased...

It's funny how this snowballed into a "my comute is worser then yours" :)

My commute is 24 miles (12 each way) on 35 mph roads (by choice). The Freeway alternative is 3-4 minutes quciker but when something happens it slows down a lot. I also find that driving the shorter backroad I enjoy the comute a lot more (apart form dreaming of EVs).

I'm considering an electric scooter for this summer.

Anyone have a better commute then me?

42 Mi each way, 5 days a week into the metro Phx area.
    A mix of 30% city, 50% freeway, and 20% crawl stop/go.
Am getting a solid 52 mpg tank average, so I'm real happy.

PS- after driving the Prii for 3 weeks, and then going back to my beater Altima for a day, it seemed really WIERD not to have the engine shut off while stopped or while crawling ahead in traffic. It seems so dumb now to be burning fuel while going nowhere, per the conventional non-hybrid paradigm!!

80 mile R/T during the workweek (Sat to Wed for me). Although on a couple days during the week, there's a couple thousand more miles, but that's at 35,000 feet :)

    Infidel,
Dude, your avatar, that's a terrible thing to do to a 747!

3 miles city driving one way. Unfortunately doesn't give the Prius a good chance to warm up before getting to work/home so not getting "great" mileage through the winter :( .

Forty (40) miles each way, mostly interstate, four (4) days a week.
