It doesn't look bad without the springs? Just better with them? Or am I just trying to convince myself

Thanks. Door molding is chrome ( bought from Prius chat shop). I decided to install the lowering springs after the bodykit install. So far I haven't had any problems with clearance. When you park you just have to be more careful not to pull the car all the way to the curb so you don't damage the front bumper/lips. The lowering springs improve handling alot.

it doesn't look bad it's just a preference. If you like your ride soft keep the stock springs. The bodykit will also gives a better look and arodynamic. The lowering springs will improve handing but at the same time the ride will get stiff.

Sorry to hijack, but is it advisable to use the prius plus springs or Tein springs with the stock shocks? Do the shocks bow out with the extra compression on them 24/7?

I don't have the body kit, just the lowering springs (and rear sway bar), along with the wheels. Clearance is still an issue, even without the body kit.

In regards to clearance, you can have clearance issues even with stock height if you're not paying attention. So I would say it depends on the driver. I don't have any issues in my book but I have scraped before.

In regards to shocks/struts, from the factory, or "port", the Plus springs are mated with the stock shocks. They are no comparison to high performance shocks but they are ok.

In regards to aesthetics, they is no right or wrong but I would say, you can't tell how either looks in photos. Personally, I'm biased, lowered either way is the way to go for this car since it's for aesthetic reasons vs performance.

Thanks. I was really going back and forth between Black and the Winter Grey Metallic. Sometimes even now that I have Black, I think I like the Grey better. I have a friend with a grey one who says he prefers Black every time he sees mine. The grass is always greener I guess.

I have the Prius Plus Grounds Effect Kit with Tein 1.5" lowering springs :D . It's true what Sfcyclist said about the lowering springs really makes your car lower. But if you really want to get technical, the kit itself lowered my car about another 3/4". That's it. And as for clearance, I NEVER have any problems. No scraping issues! But I love every bit of my kit. It makes my Prius stand out from all the stock Prius' on the road. (y)

Looks to me like the current stock 15" wheels with the caps removed. But hard to tell.

I just bought a set of Prius plus package wheels, I want to to the ground effects and sway bar and springs. I dont have any tools so I would need to have it installed. What does the dealer charge for the install? Or is it better to go to a body shop and have the install done?

I had the springs and rear sway bar installed for about $375. at an independent shop. It's apparently not that difficult, the dealership wanted like $800...

I don't have the ground effects but I would think any good body shop could do it. It involves drilling holes into the car bumper covers, etc.
