My Prius started making a LOUD rear noise which my tire guy (Allen Tires in Costa Mesa) diagnosed as the driver's side Rear Hub Bearing. Toyota confirmed this but would not warranty the replacement due to my 62,000 mile Prius being out of warranty.
South Coast Toyota quoted $597.63/TOTAL ($345 + tax Parts and $225 Labor)
Ken's Automotive let me order my own part online $242.04 and charged me $100/Labor for the installation. I paid $342.04/TOTAL. A savings of $255.59!

    Ken's Automotive
Address: 17922 Gothard St. Huntington Beach, CA 92647
    Phone: (714) 847-7755

I purchased the TIMKEN Bearing Ken recommended at ONLINE ROCKAUTO for $ 231.79 + $10.25 Shipping NO TAX! It arrived in 2 days.

If you need the Prius Rear Hub Bearing changed, Ken's Automotive is the place to go! Mention "PRIUS REAR HUB SCOOTER SPECIAL" and they'll install the part you bring in for $100.
This special does not apply to the front bearings, but I am sure Ken's a lot cheaper than most dealers.

I just bought here from Olathe and they were great!
Toyota 4245047040 Genuine Factory Original Hub Bearing Assy | eBay
$223 each. Send Olathe your VIN

Local dealer quoted around $1300, parts outright were $321 at local dealers...never have used local Toyota dealers for anything, and here is good example.

Did both side for total of $446

Bought some pads-high quality and new rotors at same time. ($110).

With the brake job, saved probably over $1000 doing myself. :)
