I live in the W Palm Beach, FL area. I am interested in a pair of front seat covers that are not expensive. Can someone direct me? Thanks.

Walker1, I'm afraid I can't help with the seat covers. But I'm impressed with the looks of vehicle. What degree of tinting did you get on the hatchback and sides (as % of visible light transmission)? It looks so cool. I just got a Black '06 and want to tint it.

NH is a picky state for tinting, so I'm trying to determine how dark I can sneak by with.

Also, if you don't mind sharing, how much for the tinting?

There's a good, recent thread further down in this forum by Prius-a-rama about GT seat covers. (Stick with it and you'll find he finally got 'em on.)

The GT Seat Covers are very nice and you can get them in a variety of colors and materials. I got them from a Toyota dealer, which was cheaper than getting them from GT's website.

I don't know what the exact %s are, but in FL the driver and passenger windows have the lightest tint. All other windows can have as dark as you want. I chose the medium grade tint for the rest. Limo tint is too dark to see at night with. I can see ok at night with medium tint. The med. tint also gives you privacy. It's hard for people to see into your car with med. The lightest legal tint can be seen through. This is for law enforcement reasons.

I pd. $150.00 total. I have used the same guy for 6 years for all my cars. I believe the color of the tint is called charcoal. Good luck.

I can step up and say the front door windows can be no darker than 35%
the rear doors and hatch windows can be 2% - 20%..

I had mine tinted 35%/20% legal limit and will post a ip as soon as I find it..

If you tint the front as dark the Florida Hiway patrol can write you a ticket and hand you a razorblade to remove the front door window film, and they'll wait while you do it....

The going rate for the ticket is $90.00, the bad thing is if one agency writes you a ticket and you drive throught another city they can pull you and write you again ect, ect. This is state wide..

This was several years ago in Maryland. My (then) girlfriend and I were in her father's Mercedes (she was driving). We had the right of way forward, but someone making a left turn hit us. The driver of the other car was furious at us until the cop asked them who tinted their windows. They replied that their brother did it. The cop said the tint level wasn't legal, so they were really at fault.

See my review of the exactfitseatcovers.com seat covers ... $59 for a complete set in their ebay store, $79 per set on http://www.exactfitseatcovers.com and just $49 for the front set. I have some pics of them in the thread. The front seats look pretty good.

Please note that GT Seatcovers do not yet include the 2006 model year. Don't make the same mistake I did by ordering the 2005 seat covers and think they'll fit the 2006---the rear seats will not fit as they are different.

Uh, fshagan made a boo-boo: exactfitseatcovers.com (with the "fit" in there) takes you to the GT site. The correct one is exactseatcovers.com.

After fshagan's earlier description, I ordered a set and like them very much. The fabric isn't quite at the quality level of the GTs (I have a set of those on my other Prius), but it's good, and $59 for a full set is a spectacular bargain.

BTW, I ordered tan (or beige or whatever), and their tan is NOT very close to the original Prius. It's much brighter

I found some that I really liked on Sale at Target for $9.99 each, they are "Universal Fit" but fit really well, just have to poke a hole in the top of them to allow the headrests to still be adjustable. Now if i can just find matching covers for the Headrests I will be doing good.
