Unfortunately I believe that both xraydoug's and Mikey The Milkman's submissions are both inadmissible under Bob's current interpretation of the rules.

xraydoug's photo clearly shows a cruising range of 400 miles indicating that the car has been re-filled at some point during the 503.1 miles travelled, probably after the 503.1 miles were travelled but there is no definitive way to 'prove' that as required by Bob's rules.

Mikey The Milkman's third photo shows a mileage under 500 miles, and the second photo shows over 500 miles but the car may have been re-filled, again because there is no remaining range shown.

As I have already written elsewhere on this thread I think that both these submissions should be allowed because they show the one thing that really matters, and that is that the 500 mile distance shown was achieved using less than the fuel contained by a full Prius c tank.

As I have also written elsewhere on this thread, I've spoken with Bwilson4web and he has OK'd it. If you'd like to talk with him about it, feel free.

Mikey, I've updated the log for you. Congrats on that awesome mileage.

 I drive to work 2.9 miles speed limit is 25 for 1 mile, then 45 for 100 yards, 35 for about 1/2 mile then 40 the rest of the way. this refelects the type of driving I do. many of my trips are longer but I dont find myself in 55 or 65 speed limit areas very often.

IMO your post is not well thought out. If you can get better mpg on my route go ahead and try. and just because someone takes the initiative to drive longer in low speed areas dosen't disqualify their mpg!

If they were driving a jetta TDI and they got on the freeway and drove 500 miles would that be cheating on their mpg record. I dont think so:p

The rules are simple and that is better that way.

thats the way I feel about it.:)

Mikey the MILKman??? :ROFLMAO: It's MAILman

Grand Total, I understand your feelings about one or more of us being inadmissible which I respect you for that. If anyone else feels the same way, that's OK by me as I will continue *AND* this time try to remember taking photos of specific screen to show proof. All I can say that I can honestly claim that I actually went 506 miles before refilling whether or not my claim should be on Top Prius C and that I am proud of making this far on a single tank of gas. :)

On this new tank of gas, I'm not sure if I'll be making 500 miles because we had strong winds in the last 3 days which effectively killed my MPG during my commutes both ways  . We shall see!

Sorry about the job mix up. :)

I think you misunderstood my post, I want your post to be admissible. I don't care if you fill up 10 times during the course of your 500+ miles, if you make 500 miles on less than what a tank holds that's fine with me, but I had my entry disqualified because it was not on a single tankful.

I understand that the "rules" have now been relaxed and I welcome that.

look at the first post on this thread. you just drive 500 miles on one fill up. take a pic of the drive info screen. shows your trip distance, mpg, average mph, ev mode, temp. ect...

list some info. like wheel/tire size air pressure, driving techniques. and post it on this thread (y)

    This is correct: Sort of.

The rules as stated by bwilson are as follows:
As you can see, there is no SOC requirement, nor is there an Average Speed requirement. Since there IS a place on the chart to log average speed, and since those who are submitting tanks are taking pictures anyway, we ask that you include that screen in your photo. However, since it's not a requirement, you are not obligated to post it nor are you disqualified for lacking that information. This is why I am simply putting in the average speed if it's not given. There has been no relaxation of rules, or addendum's to the rules. Everything is the same.

I tried to show his quote of F8L in the original post but it won't work. You are welcome to go to page 1 of this thread and see for yourself, or you can view the original below.
    Hopefully this clears things up?

Yes, your tank was DQ'd because it wasn't on a single tankful. This is Rule#1 of F8L's requirements. You were rightly DQ'd.

The rules have not been relaxed, please see my previous post. I think the biggest issue here is a lack of understanding of the rules which are extremely straightforward if you take the time to read them.

The entire point of this chart is to see what the best of the best mileage is that one can achieve with their Prius C. It's not about anything else. If you go to the other sections on this site you can see what Bwilson does with the data in this thread. He is doing great things with it and turning it into something we can all use, but he can only do that if the data we provide him is solid to start with.

It's also been said that if you want to dedicate your tank to super gas mileage, that's fair game. While obviously some of these numbers aren't realistic in everyday driving, again, that's not the point. If you can muster up fantastic mileage by driving around your neighborhood 10,000 times, go for it if that's your prerogative. If you're trying to get the most out of your mileage while on your daily commute (personally I think this makes more sense, but I digress) and get over 500 miles with great mileage that's great! Submit them for all to see and enjoy.
At the end of the day it's all about 1 tankful and how far you can go with it.

In that case a number of other posters should also have been disqualified because their submissions also do not conform to the rules. For example, apologies in advance, mdgates submission does not conform to the single tankful rule. From his/her submission there is no way to tell how many times he/she filled the tank.

bwilson4web posted this on the subject. There is absolutely no way to know from mdgates post whether any single tank achieved 500 miles or not. That is my main point, if you cannot understand that then I'll just move on and never bother posting in this thread again.

In the specific example you link to, Bwilson himself deals with the issue. Feel free to complain to him about that.

Like I said earlier, if you don't like it, feel free to PM him and until I hear otherwise, I will continue to update the chart. It seems like just about everyone else is comfortable with the rules presumably because they've read them. They understand it's from a tankful. If not, it'll be easy to tell just like with the example you've provided.

It's quite easy to PM Bwilson, in fact, here is a link for you.

Also, in case you didn't notice in the example you linked to, Bwilson was kind enough to make the mileage work for that user. You are making it sound like we're all in the movie "Full Metal Jacket" and Bwilson is Gunny. This isn't the case.... Bwilson (and by extension, myself and several others) are trying to accommodate and satisfy everyone here.. I can't help it if you're upset about having your tank DQ'd, I didn't make that call. In the meantime if you could help prevent some of this confusion instead of feeding it, that'd be greatly appreciated.

One more thing, there's no need to come up with ultimatums like the one you've stated. It's just that you're making issues out of things that aren't really issues.. If you have a tank over 500 miles and your mileage is greater than someone on the list, obviously you're more than welcome to post them for the world to see......and at that time either myself or someone bwilson has designated will gladly update the log.

Not sure, it appears like a large spreadsheet on my screen. Are you accessing from a mobile device or something?

Wow that's strange. Especially considering the spreadsheet is through Google Drive.. Very odd. Maybe try logging on using Firefox or IE? Here's a picture of what it looks like if you're curious Untitled.jpg
