I own a Gen3 (2010) Prius (UK model) - windscreen wipers stuck in the snow and ever since the wiper self park and auto wiper (from the rain sensor) and wiper action with windscreen washer have ceased functioning. The wipers will still operate fine in continuous mode - its as if a relay or a fuse (or combination of both) have failed due to overload. The wiper motor seems fine as does the integral park switch - any pointers on if and where this relay/fuse are. I know this is a US forum but the fuses and relays are still on the same side of the vehicle. Would apreciate any advice.

not familiar with the auto wiper, but the fuse for the washer is inside, close to the drivers left leg...in the usa, now I question if it is the same on a u.k. model. your user manual should provide you with location of fuse box, but you will probably see it with door open, you outside on knees, looking up under the dash area, with torch in hand...flashlight for us colonaials. everything else is integral with the stalk switch, and the wiper motor itself. good luck.

Had a similar problem on an older car. On that car, there were switches inside the motor/gearbox that drove the wiper blade. Said switches indicated back to the controller elsewhere in the car when to power the wipers, when not to, etc.. So, I like your idea that this all started when the wipers got stuck on the ice. I suspect that you didn't burn out a fuse, but may have warped some metal inside the gear box, and now the interior switches aren't making proper contact, or are stuck.
Does somebody have the rough schematic of what's in, or at least what's connected to, the wiper motor assembly?

From what I understand, i have the same issue, the wiper park system is electromechanical. There are metal pins inside the wiper motor and a rotor. When the pins are touching the wiper park relay is activated, only in the off or low position of the wiper selector switch. The pins triger a relay which move the wipers untill the pins nolonger touch. At this point the wipers are parked. You should check the wiper motor. Wiper motor park relay and if the park system has it's own fuse, but I don't think it dose. However I am not 100%on all that.
