I did a trip from Montréal( Québec) to Delray Beach (Florida) in 2 days :
    1700 milles
    Temp.: from 38F to 88F
    Mountains and plains.
Rains in Virginia and sonny elsewhere
Cruse control at 65mph south of Virginia
    Result: 55MPG or 4,3 l/100km

    Not bad I think.

By the way, I saw many Prius( hatchbach, C and V) along the 95. They drove at 70, 75 mpg; I don't understand why ? Buy and ordinary car if you want this speed and 30 miles per gallons and less!

That's my opinion for today :)

I just finishe 1150 miles on the CA. coast, got about 47 over all. I blame the tires, new tires, worse then the OEM's for mileage

I went on a 1,775 mile road trip back in July - from the LA to Palm Desert, Monterey, San Francisco, Sonoma, Jenner, Reno and then back to LA.; two passengers, loaded cargo. Was averaging a cool 57 mpg before the 80-east to Reno killed my mpg down to 45 mpg in a matter of 30 minutes. Was driving approximately 70 mph on the hwy nearly the entire time, minus traffic spots on the return trip back after July 4th weekend. Slowly boost my mpg back up to 51.9 on the return trip. Only spent 2.75 tanks for the entire trip.

I have a 150 - 200 mile trip every week. 65 rather than 70 mph adds about 10 - 15 minutes of driving time a week while keeping my fuel economy in the low 50s.

    65 mph works for me.

When I change to the new tires, I lost about 3-4 mpg, from the balding oem tires. Even after 5k miles they just dont carry the mileage like everyone said. I used to get 50-51 CONs, now it is more like 47. a real pisser. Michelin Energy Saver A/S are the new tires.

Well, there is a really beautiful place, casual not "guindé" (traduction: too expensive).
