Just ordered one on eBay can't wait for it to get here I have a question for you though are there any of the silverback fobs that you can get cheaply to program that will have sks work?

In order to program sks I would need the car and have a fully working silver logo key.

Well that won't happen I'm in Illinois and you're in California so that's not to happen is going to the dealer the only way to get this done? What would be a fair price to pay if the dealer does it

Get a brand new, never programmed key and you can do it yourself(chicken dance). The problem is finding a person on ebay who is honest about the key condition. The majority of "New" keys sold have already been programmed.

Hi ovni! Just ordered on ebay. Hoping will get soon :)
Now I have only one original key that I will use to program backup one.
Supposing sometime I will lose original key, I can use backup key(no.1) to program another backup (no.2) ?
    Thanks!

Thanks for the order. The backup key you make will be seen by the computer as a "Toyota original". You can use it to program more keys even if the original key is lost.

Your right. Dont know what I was thinking. It was a one hour thing. Only had two viewers on eBay during that time frame. Won't happen again.

Reporting another success- I had a similar experience to Jefe above- I got the steady light, put the key in; it felt like it would stay in by itself so took my hand away. Key shot out onto the floor and light started flashing. When I repeated the 'chicken dance' it went on flashing, & tho I held it in for 2 min, no good. Also really hot out there, so I went in to rehydrate, reviewed posts again, repeated the chicken dance and this time light went on and stayed on, key in, flashing, after about 45 sec stopped flashing. New key now works.
I have a salvage '09 that had some left front end damage, including the door, fwiw. Not sure if the door was replaced.
The really insecure feeling I had about having only one key is now relieved. Thanks Ovni!!

Ive now sold over 200 keys online and locally. Here are some stats.

    - 1 key returned, was actually bad. Sent them a new one and ALL keys now I verify before shipping.

    - 1 Key returned because buyer expected key to start car right out of the package. Did not want to bother with the programming process.

    - 3 customers had issues with key not staying in slot while programming. Had to explain to them that they need to hold it.

-2 customers car would not go into programming mode. Turns out the car was under 12 volts. immobilizer ecu does not allow programming of keys if it senses low aux voltage. One customer replaced aux battery and the other ran the car for a couple of miles to charge the battery. Both programmed fine after that.

    - 10+ Customers cars did not go into programming mode because they weren't following procedure correctly. Worked fine after I walked them though it over the phone.

    - 1 Customers car did not go into programming mode and voltage/procedure was fine. Car had several owners in the past and new owner had no clue about how many keys were actually programmed. immo ecu only allows 5 total. he sent me one of his smart keys and I cloned it onto the key.

Not bad for over 200 keys.

    Ovni,
I bought one of your key fobs for my 2005 Prius, it worked great! Thanks for making the product.

Do you have any capability for 2010 Prius keys?

The encryption on the 10+ prius is too high for my capabilities. I do know a company currently working on cracking the encryption. Even after they crack it, the 2010 does NOT have an on board user programming procedure that we know off.
Most newer cars now require the dealer to even add a basic fob. $$$$ No more On board programming.

Ovni, I have a dilemma. I washed my fob several weeks ago and it stopped working. I took the battery out and put everything in a bed of rice. After two days, I reassembled and the fob was working again. Yay! Then I went jogging and stuck the fob down my sports bra and sweated all over it for 45 minutes. Now it's toast. The rice trick did not work a second time. The fob will still start my car when I insert it in the slot, but it no longer unlocks my doors. The little light on the fob never flashes. I've changed the battery two times and tested the battery. The batteries are good. My question is, if I send you the fob, can you program one of your RFID keys using my lifeless fob? I'm going crazy. I HATE getting that little key out every time I need to unlock my car doors. Is there any hope?

I think a better way to solve this problem if we come to your place and examine your bra and how it was able to destroy this , we will need to do some testing and taking readings... all of this will be done in the name of research, please feel no embarrassment as this will help future generations. thanks in advance in your cooperation to help mankind in the breast-fob crisis
