So I'm wondering if anybody uses any special glass cleaning products to clean the rear windshield. The Prius manual says to use a dampened cloth and wipe horizontally so not to damage the defogger lines. Well from past experience, a water dampened cloth doesn't clean very well; especially when you have dust and grime buildup on the glass. Do you think windex or any window cleaner I get from walmart will be ok for the glass?
Don't worry as long as you aren't using something hard like a razor blade . I like Invisible Glass by Stoners. You can find it in the automotive section of your favorite store, including Walmart.
i've also been using Invisible Glass. Apply in the shade and go back with a clean dry cloth tower to get rid of all residue. Worked well for me.
I've used an aerosol spray automotive glass cleaner. I apply to one of those wands used for cleaning inside of front windshield. As you say, try to stroke parallel to the wires. Then buff with a flannel cloth (diaper).
+1 for Stoner 92164 Invisible Glass, I got it from A along with Zwipes Microfiber Cleaning Cloths (36-Pack) but once I'm done with the bottle going to try some eco products like Eco Touch WCL24 Window Clear Cleaner. It's time to reduce chemicals
