My son got this for his '05 Prius, and I plugged it into my PiP for awhile. It's helping me learn to brake more slowly and accelerate more gradually, but the mileage is obviously way off. That seems to be about all it's good for, unless a check engine light comes on. Am I missing something more here?

Maybe you could post a link? There was another thread here, possibly in one of the other forums, about a gadget that sounds like what you are describing. I think it had a different name, however.

Great idea. Feels like something you would see on Shark Tank.

Just takes the same info Torque gives you but makes it more applicable, and of course, look prettier. Very smart.

My smartphone's bluetooth is normally paired to the audio system to provide phone services. I see that "Automatic" communicates via bluetooth. Can regular smartphones pair with a second device?

Ya, it can pair with quite a few things at once.

    XT1060 ?

:confused:As a fairly new (nine month) Prius owner, I think I've done well adapting to the Prius and many of the techniques to achieve better fuel mileage. Not to be negative regarding this product, but the last thing I need is something else to make me more "anal" about my driving.

I like it. It "grades" extremely hard on hard braking and quick acceleration - but the friendly reminding chirp is not annoying. I do wish that I could plug both it and my Scangauge II in at the same time.

As it should. Those are both stupid wastes of energy that people need to be taught to not do.
