    Joe,
Looks nice! Is this grey or dark grey? (looks dark in pics) I understand there is padding under seat and back. About how thick would say each is? Are they both the same thickness and density?
Did you order from Clazzio or another site and how long did it take to get after you ordered the covers?

What is that in the cup holder? ;o)
    Congrats on the new seats.

I just ordered a set from Clazzio's site. Try the code 'retailmenot' to get $31 off, my the total for leather was $418, not too bad.

Its is the darker gray(which they call gray). Yes the seats have 1/2 memory foam and the backs have 1/2 regular foam. I ordered from trdsparks. Cup holder has my temp phone holder just sitting in it, cant find one that attaches nicely and sits flush like the pic.

Good to know on the foam backing. I will be curious of if/how the seat comfort improves, in your opinion, with added foam (esp. under butt).

Cool, thanks. I am still trying to find a memory foam lumbar insert only 1" or a bit more that will fit under the Clazzio's well AND provide long term lumbar support, before I pull the trigger. Also, still trying to decide on colors and IF perforated leather would be an issue for hot coffee spills in this commute car.

I have seen black light grey which looked great. I need to look more at our current black/ grey interior, to see if Grey with light grey inserts would look good. Black as main seat color, may be too much black (from our stock interior look)...decisions ;o)

How long did it take to get your covers from ordering?

BOTH PVC & leather are perforated! ? Just on the center patch? I thought I saw a lot of smooth looing center patch pics and assume 'that' meant PVC. I will need to see/zoom closer up on pics to see this. So all CLazzio seat covers have perforated center patches??

I fought this battle for two years and finally won ... but the solution is not so pretty: a 4" block of foam on door armrest to rest my left elbow almost all the time when driving. This has allowed me to ....

put the seat where I want it, not have to move the seat forward and up to an undesirable position to reach the wheel without using the armrest / armrest with small pad, etc...

This Thanksgiving, went to SF Auto show, headed straight for BMW 535i to see if gives an amazing driving position for me. Yes. The door armrest allows me to grip the wheel at 9 o'clock. That's how I like to drive. The realized must modify my Prius to rest elbow, get that 9 o'clock grip.

    CD,
After seeing your armrest mod (2 pieces of 2" foam to make 4" tall, right?), I tried rolling something I had in the car on a long drive yesterday and placing it under my left elbow. That did feel more comfortable. I will need to experiment with a height that works for me and just pull out 'the elbow cushion' for long trips that I am driving (car is mainly my wife's commuter).

Back support: I cannot recall, but did you add any lower back support under seat covers or use a loose back pillow? I have looked high and low and could not find a back cushion thin enough. I need one that is about 3/4" compressed. I have a old flattened 'loose foam' pillow that is about 1" thick when compressed an it sometimes feels too thick. I will probably end up asking my wife to make the proper sized pillow with a zipper that I can add loose foam to, to get the desired thickness. A problem I foresee is that 'new' loose foam will be much 'puffier' than the worn out loose foam in my old pillow that I have been using as a car back pillow in another car for years. I'd love to find a small sheet of 3/4" of a denser memory foam that my wife could just make a cover for, but I have no idea where to find something like that.

We're lucky to have a place named Bob's Foam Factory in Fremont, CA which btw, is about 1/2 mile from the Tesla mfg plant. Every time I've gone there for a piece or two of foam cut to specs, they help me out. The owner is super nice. They have all sorts of foam and big tables to cut foam. Look under foam factory online.

Yeah, that foam pad pic'd above is 4" tall. I just sat back in the seat, grabbed the wheel where I want to with left hand and figured how much space I need to fill in above door armrest. Looks odd, but helps me out every day. I far past needing things to look pretty or OEM like.

Also there's a place in downtown Palo Alto called House of Foam- I've been going there for years and so has my mom. The guy there knows everything about foam and pillows. I'm going to visit him next time I'm in Palo Alto, to try to craft something for my seat also.

CD, Thanks for the info. I am actually going right by there tomorrow, so the timing is perfect! I will go check them out. I see they cut it to order and have great Yelp reviews. Did you have them cut the upper and lower edges at a shallow angle (15-20 degrees?) to form fit the pad and not just squared off 1" thick at these edges? What height and width did you go with and would you do anything different next time?
    Thanks

    JoeS,
This is what I would love to do. A few questions for you:
What dimensions HxWx thk of foam did you use?
What type and density of foam did you use?
    Did you taper any/all edges?
How did you secure it in place under Clazzio cover?
How much trouble is it to get to it if you decide to move or modify the cushion (mins? hour(s)?
Can you post a pic of hoe it looks? Did it negatively affect the look at all?
Do you have a non back challenged S.O. that also uses the seat and if so, what do they think of the cushion being there? (my wife is main driver)

    Thanks in advance, Joe
