    Hello everybody.
Just wanted to see if anybody had the same problem.
My significant other bought her brand new Prius 4 2011. Never really had major problems and always completed recommended oil changes and maitanence including last 50k about a month ago.
This morning we went to open the car and it was... Unresponsive. Opened door with physical key. Set inside, pushed the pedal and pressed the button. Silence, break is unusually stiff and the only light on a dashboard - check engine. Pressed the button again and one little beep with flashing exclamation sight on the left of dashboard. Pressed it one more time and silence. Inside auto locks and windows do not respond.
    I doubt it's a battery - could it be?
Also attached are the fuses - do they look normal for Prius iV? I mean is it normal for some of them be missing?
Any advice is appreciated, before we take it to Toyota.

It sounds like the 12 volt battery is drained or bad.
Be careful jump starting this vehicle because hooking up the cables in reverse can get very expensive.
I'm a big fan of battery chargers instead.

    Thank you Kenny!
Which model of a battery charger are you using?
Huh... Honestly I couldn't find 12v battery under the hood. Any idea where it may be? Is it under the fuse box?

The jump point in in the fuse box the battery is on the right side in the back of the car.

It won't take anything to jump it, a charger would do just fine.

12V is in the rear of the car, but use the jump points (see the red plastic cover in your picture to the left) in the fuse box as mentioned above. attache the negative wire to the engine or body.

Yep that's all it takes. I myself am in the process of buying a new Optima yellow top as my 2008 is still on the original battery and I don't want to get stranded. Make sure AAA jumps the car properly as not to fry any of the electronics!

Once you completely drain a 12V battery it is never the same. You may have to replace with a new one. Thinking about $300

I think the cheapest price on these was at Streetside Auto @ around $150 minus any promos, putting it at the 130 range. They didn't have any in stock the last time I needed one, and don't show it in stock now. Should be able to get down around $170 at Advance Auto with promo codes available at RetailMeNot.
