Thank you. The dealer does offer the extended powertrain warranty lifetime for free, no charge. There was another dealer in the area who offered the same deal. I will be canceling the other warranties as everyone suggested. Thank you for your help.

I bought both the extended warranty and full service. They are good for life. But now that I think about it, I remember seeing people outside where I live in dark cars with tinted windows, and I thought those were just kids with rocks that glazed my windows. Now that I've looked again, I see those holes in my windows are fairly round and small. Hmmmm Looking over the policy, I see it's only good for my life, not the cars:confused:

It's been very dark here lately, and I notice it's harder to see. But this car is very upright with big windows. I thought I saw everything well, especially with a backup camera. I wasn't going to get out in the snow to look tonight, I assumed one of my acorn squashes had fallen out of the bad. It wasn't That big a bump. When I got home, I noticed I had the squash I bought at the store.

    But I am covered.

Take the car back and demand a refund, if you dont like it, this is not like getting married, you return it within 10 days and by law they must refund you entire money.. i am sorry for you , about the comments about your post,, my mother died 9 years ago an there are so many people in the world that try to get others to do what THEY feel is correct,, i had one mother i dont need another...
this car is a real adjustment, kinda like getting married to a fat gal, you have to love it from the beginning or it will trouble you forever,,, btw would you take $15,0000 for the car?

I tell everyone I know that if you can see the side of your vehicle when you look at your sideview mirrors, they are adjusted wrong. You don't need to see the side of the car to know that it's there. Mirrors in the v can be adjusted so you either see the vehicle behind you in your rearview mirror or your side mirror at any given time.

Here's an official document from the Illinois Attorney General that says otherwise. The only right of return in Illinois is if financing is not approved (unless the dealer's contract specifically states that the car may be returned by the purchaser):

    No Three-Day Right to Cancel
Dealers are not required by law to give car buyers a three-day right to cancel. The right to return the car in
a few days for a refund exists only if financing is not approved. However, some dealers may, by contract,
    offer a right to cancel.

I have my side mirrors adjusted so they show me cars in my blind spots. The danger is car's just behind me as I'm going to change lanes, those are the ones the mirrors have to show, for cars further back, the windshield mounted mirror does the trick and, for those, I have lots more time to see and react.

Neither shows the side of the car. The v doesn't have the worst visibility of car's I've owned.

If you "know" of any other states where it's the law or can prove ftl wrong, please list them here and cite reputable sources (e.g. that state govt's web site).

Definitive info can be added to which states have a "cooling off"/return period on new cars? | PriusChat.

I used Truecar. The suggested dealer never returned my calls/emails, so I emailed a nearby dealership the price and they matched it; it was the lowest price listed in Truecar and I couldn't get any other dealer to go that low.

The dealer is going to strong arm you and shake your confidence regarding canceling the warranty. Take a friend with you to keep you standing firm. I bought no extra warranties and knew all the dealer tactics for selling them, yet I was still impressed by the good cop/bad cop routine the dealer used on me. They had me second-guessing myself for a few seconds. This is how they make their money, they will break you down to tears if that's what it takes to keep your money. Really go with a friend. If it means anything, you can always buy the warranties again in the future. I forgot what the cut-off date is, but I'm sure someone will answer (you will probably not get the truth from this dealer).

I feel the blind spots in the mirror are the same as every car. Unless you get a convex mirror, you will have blind spots.

the sill level as you refer to them, are referred to in the auto industry, as high belted cars. the automobile reviewers are hoping the engineers come to their senses and dispose of the low profile tires.

I think my new Prius V has better visibility than my 2004 Trailblazer, which I traded in and certainly better than something like any van I've ever driven. I see no problems with blind spots any worse than any other vehicle. I like the backup camera and use it to validate the back is clear before visually looking when going in reverse. With the Trailblazer, I'd have to get out and look to be sure no kids toys, trashcans, etc. were back there. Prius V has windows all down both sides. The little triangle window in the front next to the windshield gives even more visibility.

They suckered me into a $2100 extended warranty. I went back the next day and they took it off, no complaints. In FL, they have to remove it if requested within 30 days.

I refused all extended warranties when I bought my v and they made me feel like I was making poor decisions. I'm glad to read here that apparently most of you think I did the right thing.
