I should be getting the car back within the next week, possibly by the end of this week. Unfortunately.... I'd rather just keep the rental car and not have to deal with the realization that I am getting back into a smashed up prius.

Winter time is more home time for me but then my car is parked because of the snow and salt. Just couldn't get home enough last season :-( I did get to drive it once about 100 miles just wandering around on country roads so I could remember what it drove like ;-) Hoping to be able to drive it a few times next season.

They had the car aligned, the toe adjustment wouldn't come in. They found that I believe the rear beam axle portion of the suspension was bent. Another $1200 in parts. So I am not essentially at a totaled vehicle cost and am stuck with it.

Finally got the car back 48 days in the body shop, $12,725 in parts and labor, $1,668 in rental car expenses. ONLY upside is 3,200 miles that aren't on my car.

There are 2 quick ones, I should have taken a picture yesterday in the sun since it's wet and overcast today.

They did, only problem we've noticed (guys at work and myself) is you can see a texturing difference if you put your face right down to the finish in the sun and compare the front and rear door. I talked to the shop owner he said it has to do with how the blended door takes the base vs how the new door does. He said if I decide to they will re wet sand and see if it gets better, but it might cause more problems.

If they wet sand they need to shoot the clear/pearl over it again. Is the tint looking the same in the shade & sunlight? Might be best to leave it alone but it's your call on perfection ;)

The hue/tint looks good so far. Just the orange peel type texture isn't exactly identical if you look very closely. Now the problem is I'm hearing a vibration in the front end... I think in the engine bay.

Wow, I think they did a great job! The unknowing eye would never be able to tell. What was the vibration problem and how was it fixed?

They did do a good job, I would recommend them to anyone. Is it exactly like factory? No. But maybe as close as it ever could be.

The vibration... No one, including myself ever opened the hood. The owner of the body shop road around the block with me, seemed just as puzzled as I was. We opened the hood and found the hood rod hanging down onto the engine causing the vibration. I never opened the hood to look for the problem because I felt it was the shops problem to find. Also on a side note, seems like a silly design putting the rod on the hood instead of the body of the car.

It sounds like you're happy with the results. Makes for a better experience all around.

That hood rod has been like that for ages. What a PITA when it comes loose as you've seen. Maybe the Gen IV will be different.
