I have not seen many mods involving Raspberry Pi's with GPS.

I searched on google and seemed to find nothing.

Does anyone here have experience on modding a Prius or any other car with a carputer?

I am really Not worried about this for low end prius 2013 two that has only audio and headset blutooth only.

I am brainstorming too.. for Sienna 2011

    here is my list:
    1) Arduino controller to handle audio/switch
    2) Audio controller chip; 3 or 4 stereo input with Bass/Treble/Balance control to 4 Stereo output(front Stereo and rear Stereo)
3)Rapsberry PI (running debian with xbmc and supports I2C/GPIO or Android tablet (tablet is less and less cheaper, since PI need monitor with touchscreen)
    4) FM Radio tuner with I2C control.
    5) centralized to PI to control I2C and GPIO, when going to PI route
or still need Arduino to use I2C and GPIO for controlling Audio/FM Radio/AUX
    6) backup camera is easy to intergrate with PI. NOT ont android tablet
7)Need coding and scripting on PI, to integrate Radio, and other to XBMC.
    8) Need to flash to internal flash PI to quick loading,

    PS:
I already has Arduino Mega, PI, and beagle board from my previous "Automation/control" project...
those are not easy task at the begining, but good since I2C and GPIO mostly used to control.
