Can I use regular antifreeze on my prius or is it mandatory to use Toyota's?

Highly recommended to use Toyota SLLC on these forums. Some users of Redline products. But the jug of no name stuff from the auto discount store....avoid.

The service manual indicates: "Only use ”Toyota Super Long Life Coolant”, or similar high quality ethylene glycol based non-silicate, non-amine, non-nitrite, and non-borate coolant with long-life hybrid organic acid technology."

So if you can find a non-Toyota coolant which qualifies per the above, that would be OK.
