Will Jim Barkley Toyota give the 0% financing deal on these prices they have listed? Or do you have to show up with cash or with your own car loan?

I bought a Prius Two with floor mats on 11/2. Paid $20359 plus TTL at my local dealer, Fred Anderson in Raleigh NC. I really like this dealer from working with them in the past on my older Prius. They include lifetime oil changes, lifetime powertrain warranty, etc. After we agreed on the number they tried to add $699 for LoJack (said all their vehicles have LoJack) but after some discussion I got them to take that off the price.

No, they said that price of the car would go up by $1750 if you use the 0% financing.

So $1750 is the cost of the "0%" financing, which works out to ~3.3% for 5 years?

I want to thank you for posting this. I actually called Aaron last week and he saved me a Blizzard White II. The only thing I wish I got was the dark grey interior but only misty grey and bisque were left. oh well.

But wonderful guy to deal with and wonderful dealership (no dealer fees of any kind! very foreign for me living in NJ)

Thanks again. I pick it up this Saturday and drive it back to Northern NJ.. calculated fuel costs.. only around $50

You could have requested dark interior and they would have gotten one for you.
We were looking for a Winter Gray with Dark Gray interior. 90% of the cars with our color had Light Gray. They found one that was still on the ship and rerouted it for us.
    Pickup on 16th. :) can't wait!

I just picked up my 2013 Prius III, Classic Metallic Silver, $24,298, after tax, license and fees, the final price was $26,697 OTD, 0% financing, $0.00 down and no payments until Feb 8th, 2014. Replaced my old commuter that was only getting 25 mpg and it took premium gas. Today, 48 mpg on my way in to Silicon Valley from Santa Cruz. I feel I got a great deal relative to the amount of effort I put in this. I went through the Costco Auto Program and did everything over the phone, went in Sunday morning, signed papers, drove out. No haggling, no hassling for me to upgrade anything...great process if you know what you want. Capitol Toyota in SJ, CA.

Walked onto the lot Sunday at Frontier Toyota in Valencia and offered $21,000 plus TTL for a two in Seaglass Pearl. Drove off the lot and left them with a phone number and first name. They met my price. I got them to knock the doc fee down to $80 from the $300 they asked so the selling price including the $1000 rebate was just under $21,000. Cash deal.

Just purchased my 2013 prius III (three) today! I opted for the 60 months zero apr over the 1k rebate. My price paid before TTL was $23,425.

I feel like I could have possibly shopped around at other dealerships and gotten maybe another hundred or two off however I as the Dec 2 incentive deadline approaches and 2013 stocks go down (esp of the color combo I wanted), I felt it was best to pull the trigger at the price point I ended up at.

Got the winter grey metallic with the dark grey interior. No other options added.

Just purchased (11/27/13) a 2013 Prius 3 (carpet mats as the only option) for $23,077.50 + TTL = out the door at $24,912.21. Selected the $1,000 rebate instead of 0% financing.

Very little hassle and a smooth sales process at Stevinson East Toyota. Also received a very competitive offer from AutoNation in south Denver - same car but with rubber mats offered for $90 more. They started with a pretty competitive offer and knocked it down to the final amount stated above when I quoted the Stevinson East offer. There reduction amounted to about $115 or so.

I did shop the price with the three other metro Denver dealers:

In person, Mountain States made an offer but the price before TTL was about $572 more than what I paid.

I quoted my best price over the phone to a sales manager at Stevinson West and he wouldn't bother to give me an offer so I suspect they won't be very competitive.

Did the same with Groove and they came back with an offer of $664 higher but the car already had some side body molding added as an option. The sales manager was pushy enough to tell me why AutoNation's prices weren't accurate. He was off-base.

In Denver, the 2013 Prius 3 selection is starting to dwindle so I decided it was better to lock it in before the colors I like disappeared from the lots.

    Happy Hunting!

I had a great experience this weekend with Bell Road Toyota in Phoenix, AZ. Joe Macke was an excellent help (he is the internet manager) and I really felt he pulled some strings to make my experience awesome. Im a newly single dad and I think he could see the desperation in my eyes, haha. The members of this forum helped tremendously, I browsed the entire "C" section on here last night for 5 hours before coming to my conclusion this am when test driving. I had it narrowed down to three cars; 13' Scion XD, 13' Mazda 3 and the 13' Prius C. After test driving and reading on here I had to have the Prius, it was a no brainer. Here is the breakdown and who I went to in Phx, AZ who was tremendously helpful and I can't recommend him enough.

    Bell Road Toyota
2020 W. Bell Rd. Phx AZ
    Joe Macke (Internet Manager)

    2013 Prius C3 with 12 miles
    $22,364.33 OTD with Tint
    +$1,600 for extended warranty
    Total: 24,362.23

I took the $1,000 rebate and am very happy with the deal. They were $500 under a major dealer out in Avondale so very happy with my decision. Plus he threw in tint and the whole process was super easy and took less then 2 hours total. Very happy with Bell Toyota.

This forum has been a lot of help as I did my research and pricing for the Prius. I figured I should post my own experiences in case they help someone in the future.

I was looking for a Nautical Blue Metallic Prius liftback 4 and I found one at a dealership that was about 60 miles away from me (Don McGill Toyota). I went to my local dealership (Gullo) and they offered to have the car transferred (aka driven) up from Don McGill and I could buy it from Gullo instead of making the hour drive down. I agreed with the plan, signed paperwork (which I realized later was a binding Purchase Agreement), and put a deposit of $500 on my credit card, which I was told was refundable in any case I didn't end up purchasing the car.

The same night that I put down the deposit, I look online and find the Guaranteed Savings Certificate from the US News website that stated that Fred Haas Toyota (about 20 miles south of Gullo) was offering me savings of about $3000 off of any in stock Prius 4 while Gullo was only offering me about $2000 in savings. I then took this information to Gullo and my salesman told me basically that I had signed paperwork agreeing to the MSRP price of $30k. I in no way had intended to pay MSRP and had thought that we would negotiate the price after I had my hands on the car and had test driven it. My dad was with me, thankfully, and, after a 10 minute argument with the sales manager on the sales floor, told me that we should go down to Fred Haas and see what they offered. I was incredibly unhappy with Gullo at the time, especially since the sales manager implied that I would only receive my $500 deposit back if there was something seriously wrong with the car (completely wrong color and massive damage were the examples he used) rather than if I simply didn't like it.

We made the 25 minute drive down and a salesman, after playing around with his numbers for a few minutes, gave us a price of $26880 for a Black Prius 4 with similar specs to the Blue 4 I wanted. I have sneaking suspicions that he knew we weren't going to buy from him but were just using this offer as leverage because I never got a call back from this salesman. I thanked him profusely as we left.

We brought the deal back to Gullo (around 8:30 pm at this point) and the salesman and his manager had already left for the day. I then dealt with another salesman who, after a few back and forths with the man in the back, matched Fred Haas' offer and I signed a new Purchase Agreement.

Lessons learned: Always negotiate price before signing anything. Always question everything that you are signing. Don't be afraid to go to another dealership to see what they offer. Always get a dealership offer in writing, including any terms of deposits that they ask for.

For the tl;dr crowd: Original MSRP $31,915. I paid $26,880 (including $1000 rebate) and with TTL, paid $28,887.96 cash.
