Well, after doing some research on vehicles with a good amount of space and fuel efficiency I have chosen a 2011 Winter Gray Metallic Prius 1.

Being that I am 24, I am already getting a lot of flack from my friends for my choice, but I will be the one laughing to the bank as they fill-up every 5 days, or so I hope! :)

I'm looking forward to browsing the forums more and learning some great tips and tricks.

Previous cars: 2006 Acura TSX, 2003 Infiniti G35, 2004 BMW X3. As you can see, I'm really looking forward to the gas mileage!

    Thanks for having me,

    Zain

    Welcome abroad!

Don't worry, I have my fair share of it from my colleague, but none would stick. With the petrol prices going higher and higher due to the falling Aussie dollars, it's almost time for me to deliver the flaks they deserved.

I am sure you will enjoy the 800+km per tank without hitting the reserve as I did, and still do now.

Have fun with the new ride!

I'm sure you didn't get as much heat as I did, I used to be a Prius denier.

Gooble gobble, gooble gobble, we accept him, one of us, one of us.

Not sure how this will be taken, no offence meant to any member, but you can still be a petrolhead and drive a Prius! Welcome to the world of Prius and especially this fantastic forum where you will get lots of support, advice and help.

I too scoffed and dismissed the Prius out of hand, but I've seen the light, I love the car and everything about it!!

We bought our first 2011 Prius last February...our 24 year old son said it was "ugly "....now that his handme down Tahoe died at 359k miles, we gave him our F350 with 365k miles on it......funny thing is-he comes over(he literally lives down the street) and takes our Prius every chance he can , especially nights after work. It isn't so ugly now that he doesn't need to fuel it- smart move on your part! Enjoy it, my son sure does!
