Yes, no idea what "needles / black gauges" mean. Please take pictures and highlight this strange phenomenon.

 

What's really troublesome is the phrase "after hard acceleration" Ouch.

 

Are you talking about the round gauges that light up when you touch the audio and trip controls on the steering wheel?

 

I can only imagine the OP is talking about unlit warning lights. At least I hope so.

 

I guess I could only say, that to the best of my knowledge there are no "Nearly Invisible Black Needles and Gauges In The Dash".

Well drifting off topic but it looks like we scared the OP away from replying to the post. Either that, or she figured out she didn't actually buy the corolla she wanted from the lot and came home with a Prius instead.

 

Ok no joke, when I was a kid and saw that similar symbol on a road sign, my sister told me it meant there were snakes in the road....I believed it for years!! God, my sister is such a bitch....
