    Hi all,

Just wanted to post a quick review, I'll add pics tomorrow when I have some day light.

I bought a set of these for my wife's 2010 Venza about 2 months ago and LOVE them. These things fit like a glove, the rear is a single piece, there is a raised edge so you could spill some massive liquids and they'd not hit the carpet, and my most favorite feature is that they cover the "dead" pedal, or the spot where your rest your left leg when driving.

They look like carbon fiber, the back is covered 100% in a velcro like material so the mats do NOT move once they are installed.

They look and work great. In my wife's Venza we've been through major rain, and a trip to the beach/sand and they work/clean up great!

Time will tell how they hold up long term, but my experience has been oem rubber mats (Nissan and Subaru) start to turn brown and degrade over time. Weather tech are massive and bulky. These seem just right.

Pics to come, but I highly recommend them!

PS - I bought both sets from this seller, he ships right away, but is in CA, for some reason fedex takes forever and a day to deliver them both times. (Say order on Monday, get them the next Tuesday, which just seems long, but maybe I'm spoiled by UPS and USPS lol?)

    Chris

This is interesting, what is this thing? Isn't it rubber? Why do you say the weathertech is massive? Looks like the same size.

Massive in terms of thickness. This thing is some plastic/rubber mix. They are flexible, but form to the floor, and if I had to guess they are less than 1/4" thick.

The bottom is covered in a velcro like covering, so once you put them in they don't move, period.

Can you post closer pics? Does it look like carbon fiber or just woven like one? I like the look of it but don't want it to look like I'm doing a carbon fiber theme.

It doesn't reallllly look like carbon fiber, just sort of. I'll get some closer pics when I get a chance.

Black - 4 months in, some rain, and lots of dirt/dust from working at a steel mill - still holding up well!

So black is more of a dark grey? (If my eyes are interpreting it correctly)

Probably - it matches the black interior very well. I'd almost say they are black, and very dark grey.

Hi Chris, thank you for sharing this! I'm looking to get this to replace my Husky WBs.
From your pictures, it doesn't look like the part underneath the accelerator is covered.
Is it just me or is that so? If so, do you have any concerns about it getting dirty underneath (from water leakage)?

I have the same mats on my 2010 prius and was also disappointed the area under the accelerator is not covered. Probably over reaction to the whole stuck gas pedal/mat issue a few years back.

I've noticed some debris/leaves have fallen onto the uncovered area so I'm sure if you don't wipe/knock the snow off first, some water can get behind that area too.

Drips however look like they may fall onto the mat considering the angle of the floor at that part of the foot well.

We'll see how it goes after this winter since it's my first with this car.

That's very sad to hear! That may be a deal-breaker for me.
I wish they covered that area up. The cover itself looks so good compared to other mats.

These mats do cover up under the pedals, as well as the "dead pedal". They have a lip of roughly 3/4" everywhere and could survive a serious water/milk/whatever spill without it getting on the carpet.

Thanks for sharing all the previous comments. I just found these mats on Amazon.com. I was intrigued by their claim that they also provide some Sound Insulation from road noise. Any feedback on that? Anyone who has these notice any reduction in road noise with the three layers? Finally, do crumbs and gravel get caught in the cross hatch pattern and are they still holding up nicely?

Still working great, nasty winter so they are dirty right now, but keeping the water on the mat and off the floor.
Nothing really gets stuck in them. I don't think I buy the noise insulation claim, it might be true, but not noticeable for me.

I found a MAXpider version with looped carpet. I may get those as our weather and mud are not real severe here, and you can still take them out and hose them down if needed, then let them dry out completely.

Sounds good. Mine are covered in salt currently, I work at a steel mill and 1/2 the parking is in gravel, and don't get me started on walking through the rolling mill which is covered in grease....

Thought I'd update my post regarding the uncovered accelerator pedal on prius gen 3 mats.

Winter has been rough. Lots of salt crusties in the mat and I can see even more debris like rock salt or sand has fallen onto the uncovered area. It's nothing a quick vacuum will take care of. Liquid wise, I don't see any salt or water accumulation on the uncovered area so my hypothesis that any snow melt drips back on to the maxpider mats was correct.

Overall I'm very happy with the mats. They're not slippery when wet. My one concern is that when the mat is water logged, it pools at the rear near the mat hook holes. I suspect salty water has drained through those holes and I won't find out until it's warm and clean enough to pull the mats out of the car.
