New Metallic Silver 2013 v. I purchased a charcoal dash cover by DASH DESIGNS, having had 2 of theirs before. It is an excellent fit. Velcro hook pads only moderately stick to dash even after cleaning with strong Simple Green solution; but, shape of cover and SOME sticky Velcro keeps it in place. My concern is front passenger airbag deployment. Toyota service rep says top of (black) dash lifts up and bag blasts out above top glove box door. This dash cover drapes to bottom of top glove box with cutout for opener latch. I modified to eliminate this drape and stop dash cover at edge of black dash top. The entire dash cover weighs only a few ounces. Any opinions on whether or not such an altered dash cover design will inhibit passenger air bag deployment?

every car or truck i have ever owned, i never used velcro to hold down dash mat. always bought good quality dash mats. if airbag does go off that person is going to get a slap of dash mat.....

Personally Im not really for things exploding in my face and i really dont feel ABS helps to save you from accidents.
