Jumped another car using the Auxiliary battery...HELP!!!

    Unfortunately I'm not...I'm in eastern North Carolina. I seen advertisements for a company that will replace my HV battery & ECU with a refurbished HV battery for $1,000. Installation is included as well as a 12 month warranty. Home

    Sound legitimate?

    The dealer did NOT reset the code, however I had previously with my scanner tool & it came right back. The car seems to drive fine, other than a lack in performance. Instead of taking off from a dead stop & using the electric motor, the engine comes on immediately when you touch the accelerator. Still cutting in and out when at a dead stop. The dealer CLAIMS that the P0A80 code is the only code their scanner put out. Granted I talked to the service manager & not the actual mechanic.

    I replied to another post minutes ago regarding a deal I found online for a refurbished HV battery/ECU installed with warranty for $1,000. Thoughts?

    Contact Taylor Automotive : Automotive Service and Maintenance in Sanford, NC and see if they can assist you. Last I heard they are still installing refurbished traction batteries. David Taylor created "Reinvolt" and then sold the rights to Dorman. Give him a call and see what he has to say. Surely it will be cheaper than the dealer.

    This does sound like a symptoms of failing battery.

    I have never hear of the group you mentioned. But if you want to be the guinea pig, give them a try and report back here.

    There are plenty of reputable places to get rebuilt or new hybrid batteries. Heck, I can even get one for you for that matter. If a battery is sent to you, are you able to install it yourself?
