Obviously the PiP in EV mode is not the equivalent of the RAV4 EV. As many here have pointed out, it's all about MPG rather than MPH. Although it might be fun to have instant acceleration from time to time, a lead foot sure eats up the available EV miles.

Seems like a typo at zeroto60.com probably swapped the numbers 9.7 -> 7.9

The Leaf feels fast off the line, but lots of other organizations reporting times are 9.7 or higher..

But back to the OPs post, Volt faster than Leaf is faster than PiP. None of them are sports cars nor race cars, but all can be a lot of fun to drive.

The funny thing is that the EV1 can blow past all 3 of them. Isn't the 0-60 time for the EV1 listed as 8.0?

Spark EV has a 0-60 time of 7.6 seconds.

    Hey!
What's the 0-60 time for a PiP in EV mode, (no firing up that smelly gas burner).

I bet that's a fun number....! Is it even published anywhere?

Someone here who lives in a rural area should test this for us. I'm interested too. I bet it's not published anywhere because it would take lots of finesse to apply just enough throttle to maximize EV acceleration without activating the ICE. Someone try! Post your best #'s!
