I traded my 93-k 2008 touring package for a 30-k Prius III. What a difference in the 3rd gen. Prius. Mostly good . More power,Better gas mileage,More front seat leg room,
However, Disappointed in Toyotas use of available interior space! Gen two had door storage bins plus bottle holders. Gone in the gen 3. I had a under center consul slide out storage bin that was a perfect spot for my self protection!! Instead, I now have a cool looking consul with a useless tray under it.
    What was Toyota thinking??
Will a gen 3 driveline fit in a Gen 2??

BTW. The reason I traded up was the terrible traction control (might as well park it when there is snow or ice) and terrible gas mileage (for a prius) 25 to 30 mpg in the winter. And yes I follow all gas mileage techniques. I am averaging 45 mpg so far over the same routes with my gen 3.
I still love the technology and reliability in the Prius.

congrats! agree on the lack of storage, strange to go backward in interior design.

Winter traction IS much better. Fuel economy in winter is still terrible unless you block the lower grill.

cool congrats! I agree we had a 2005 and a 2010 a the same time. The 2005 interior design is soo much better, love the open concept rather than the '10s cockpit design

My wife loves the storage compartment under the console. Gps -- glasses--bricks of hundred dollar bills -- they all fit with quick access.
