I walked into dealer and drove out with my PIP in 2 1/2 hours!

Same. I feel for those who have to wait. Thought I was getting a good deal too until that Dianne dealer lady offered the car for $500 less about 2 days after I bought mine. :/

It makes sense to use both onboard fuels in extreme condition so you can obtain max efficiency at "more normal" condition.

It is truely well thought out design.

I had to put in a lot of effort to get one of the last 2013 Base models in the Northeast. The first dealer we gave a deposit to just sat on it, knowing they couldn't get a PIP, and figuring they'd sell us a Prius II.

But Rozi, With less battery space used, it would just let you store more potica in your hatchback……..

I lease Dianne's deals are better than the one I got, but not worth going to left coast from east coast!

Hey wait a minute, I got a pretty good chuckle out of it. Personally I thought the timing was quite excellent. Had to reread it because I though bisco said it. ;)

:):) I am amazed, you know about the potica. I bet you must have tried it before. When baked right, it's the taste you never forget. Unfortunately, as much as I like to eat potica my mother-in-law bakes, my stomach really can't take too much of it. Too much nut cake makes my stomach a nutcake.

Back to the topic... I prefer more trunk space over EV range for family reasons. But then again - while waiting for my PiP I am driving a big gas guzzler with a giant trunk being 95% times empty. I choose PiP because I believe it has just the right balance of cargo space and EV range for my driving habits. I did the math and a test drive to confirm I am in the "sweet spot".

Too bad if some of you guys find the PiP's EV range too short. Let's keep our fingers crossed the batteries get more kWh for the 2015 iteration. It would be a benefit for all.

Rozi, I know this is off topic, however, my wife is American Slovenian, Last name Opeka and her Grandmother came over to America as a small child and settled in a Slovenian community in Chicago. She still speaks Slovenian and her and my wife have visited Family in Slovenia several times and we plan on visiting there again soon.

Her Grandmother is now 89 years old, and just this last year decided that my near middle aged wife was responsible enough for the family Potica recipe.

As far as the EV range many of us were hoping for a little longer range, however most of us understand the limits
that Toyota faces with the current design.

What a small world we live in. :)
If you do come to Slovenia this Easter or later and happen to actually spot a PiP on the street it would probably be me, since PiPs in Slovenia are almost as rare as unicorns. ;)

And yes, with 25 km EV range you can almost make it to the border in Slovenia. :)
