I know the front and rear emblems have holes behind them. Does anyone happen to have pictures of the holes in the body of the car?

There's no holes in the rear. Only the font quarter panel where the hybrid badge is. It's about an 8th of an inch, iirc.

Thanks for the info. I already removed the PRIUS C BADGE and the HYBRID SYNERGY DRIVE BADGE and of course there were no holes.

The ones I am curious about are the Toyota symbol in the front and back. So what you are saying is that there are no holes behind the rear TOYOTA Symbol emblem?

What about the front Toyota Symbol emblem?

Ah, ok. I misunderstood. I was talking about the Hybrid badge on the front quarter panel (by the front wheels), not the actual Toyota badges on the hood and trunk. For those, it's a little trickier.

To clarify, there are holes for the badge on the hood and trunk. They do sell JDM kits that are color-matched that cover it once it's off, but that's a different beast all together (and very expensive). Last I checked, it was at least $250+.

You can use a zip tie (or something similar and sturdy) to get under the badge, and then slowly pull it off the trunk/hood. Just make sure you get the zip tie from the outside of the emblem so you don't snap it when you pull. Again — do not pull it from the center of the badge or it'll break off. You'll see holes where the back of the badge is attached to once you start pulling. Then the backing of the logo (the very thin plastic where it's blue) will be sitting there. You can do as you wish with it.

If you use a screwdriver or something like it for leverage, you have the chance to scratch your paint or worse, dent it bad enough where the paint will chip off. Not recommended. The zip tie trick is the easiest method to get it off. Takes literally 10 seconds to get it under the badge and off. Even if you don't manage to get it off, you can pull it far enough off the trunk/hood to see where it's connected and get a better view of how it's attached. Just tug at it gently, and it'll come right off.

Simple video that shows the process. I just don't recommend something the prying tool he's using.

That information/video is misleading, the C's toyota badges are on there with adhesive and not hole clips like Prii or V...so don't go trying to pry them off thinking they're on their with hole clips

Uh, there are holes and clips on there. I used the same method to black out my logo last year. The video isn't misleading. It shows you how to remove the badge off the front— that's all.

Only the PriusC (rear left trunk), Hybrid Synergy Drive (rear right trunk) and two Hybrid badges (on the front quarter panel of the car) have adhesive. I will swear up and down on it since I've done it myself. There is a hole behind the Hybrid badges on either side on the front of the car as I've stated above.

I took this pic a few minutes ago after removing the front Toyota badge just to show you. I even used my fingers to pull it off once I got under it with my nails.

The holes are marked with the red circles. The black plastic base is snapped in place, and the Toyota badge snaps on top of that. If you try it yourself, take a closer look under the black plastic base, you can see that outer three square holes clearly goes through the the hood of the car.

hm, good to know, thank you...

I just started with my C's back "T" emblem and got a little scared when I was pulling on it and saw that it seemed to have some adhesive on it...so I just left it at that and concluded that I might have to rethink changing the blue background to another color

    No problem. ;)

If you manage to pull between the "T" and the blue background, you'll see that it's anchored in on the three corners. The reason why I recommend using something like a zip tie to get under it is because you have more control to get it about a quarter inch off of the base before you see the anchor points. If you use brute force, you can snap one of them off and you'll be pretty frustrated — they're not cheap to replace!

Once you pull the emblem and blue background off, it's easy as pie. I just Plasti Dipped my badge and snapped it back on. It looks real nice against the blue background. Once I got over the novelty, I peeled it all off and put it back to stock to continue with modding my car, lol.

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help. :)

This is exactly what I was hoping to see. Thanks so much for taking the time to post a picture. Not only that your description is just perfect! Answered all of my questions. :)

I just changed both my T emblems background...

The reardoor T emblem is held in place with adhesive and two very very brittle and little plastic pins and is not like the front T emblem where it is held in place by the 5 pins as in the picture above...so anyone doing any mod to their rear T emblem, be aware of that...I sort of broke one of the little brittle pin, however I removed the old adhesive and cut/put new 3m tape on rear T and stuck it back on with new background color and seems to be held on as tightly as before the pull, so all's well

I just finished my Prius C rear de-badging, and can confirm:

Front "Toyota" emblem has three pins with hooks on the ends, to hold it in place; rear "Toyota" emblem has two pins (without hooks), along with a metric buttload of adhesive behind *both* the Toyota emblem as well as the black/blue plastic rear vinyl cover thing.

The "Prius C" and "Hybrid Energy" badges on the rear have zero pins, and just adhesive.

I used a heat gun to warm up the badges, then used string to "floss" behind the badge to work it off. The adhesive is insanely strong and difficult to remove, had to spend $10 on some 3M spray-on vehicle adhesive remover, and it worked extraordinarily well.

If I had the time or energy I'd use MS Paint to draw where the pins were. I can't recall the precise location of the three pins on the front, I believe it was at 10 o'clock, 2 o'clock, and 6 o'clock positions. (But maybe it was 3, 6, 9.)

Rear badge pings only had two, and they were in bizarre and asymetrical positions. I broke one of them during removal, but it's inconsequential because you just use 3M tape to put it back on anyway, and the pins had no hooks, etc. Seemingly they're just for positioning the emblem straight.
