    Hi all,

I'm new member on the forum. I will get next week my first Prius.
My Prius comes with Executive pack and have EU Premium HDD navigation which have outdated maps and upgrades is verrrrryyyy expensive at toyota. I'm wondering, maybe is someone of you already try to replace navi unit with unit from the new models of Prius which have much better UI, free maps updates and internet acces.
    Here is the EU names
Toyota Touch & Go navigation system
Toyota Touch & Go Plus Navigation

Can I just replace the units by plug'n'play or need to do some extra moficiations ?

How will that affect on IPA and back camera ?

It would not be a clean, simple plug&play job, I'm 100% sure. With some good expertize and VIN based diagrams from toyota-tech.eu, I hope it is doable.
Is your upcoming Prius from 2nd hand or from dealer's stocks? All new EU cars available on market just now should have Touch or Touch&Go HU.

Is not new, mine is second hand from 2010, but have buy the car at Toyota authorized seller (I want to have extended guarantee up to 8y or 150.000km what comes first). Car is already equipped with standard EU HDD Premium Navi which have upgraded maps to version 2012/2013, but I'm still not satisfied with quality of Nav software and generally with HU UI.
I thought someone is already do this mod :(

Okay, much more clear. If I were you, I'd use some factory look China production (Ottonavi or so), almost plu&play. You will find plenty threads about 2010 HU replacement. The Hu replacement compilation is a sticky one in this sub-forum.
BTW. I had tested Touch&Go in PiP few weeks ago. The result is: the NAV is far better then old one, but still needs some improvement. The Primo/iGo/TomTom navigations are a big jump ahead.

I don't want China production units, I would like to have Toyota Touch&Go :)
    Thank you for help.

Touch&Go is using NNG Navi Engine or iGo. Strictly speaking should be a big jump if we talk about Navi, route cal, voice prompts etc.

The User interface will be different, if user interface is a big jump I can understand your preference.
