As per Feb 17 eve the displayed info for "economy" doesn't make to much sence, a color bar ranging to 100 and numerical for same to 255. Lets try to make a decission.... ;)

mrbigh, I'm sure you've got good intentions, but I don't think this is a democracy.

    More like a benevolent dictatorship.

Our role as users is to suggest improvements, then Norm gets to decide whether to do it, when to do it, how to do it, or not.

Personally I don't get the choices, anyway. Maybe it would make more sense if I had up-to-date code in my unit ;-)

But think of these updates as Christmas, or the lottery, or something...

I had the ScanGage for a few months and found the higher numbers interesting. I understand that 199 mpg instantaneous has little meaning. I would like a graph that does the last 5 miles rather than a timed profile.

If you can't purchase a programmer and the adaptor for it, please send the unit to my store and I will be happy to do it for you for free and the 12v hardware update if you have CANview2.

don't do US mpg makes no sense to me at all. CAN gives all the data in L and Km so Norm has to convert all of it. Just publish it as it comes off the CAN. I can handle that. Canada England Austraila etc all use L per hundred km as the measure, but Japan uses Km per liter. In fact most of the world uses liters. It's the US that's out of step........... No flames.

    not us scientists, frank :D

in fact, i made up about 4 L of buffer solutions today and diluted to 500 mL aliquots. oh yes and i measured out the solids in grams.

then i put 100 (micro)L of a variety of solutions together to do my experiments.

and i'm learning the whole celsius thing, though kelvins are much more fun. room temp is what, 27 or so and body temp is 37 and the really cold freezer is -80 and the refrigerator (or is it the regular freezer) is -20. :)

km is out of my range of experience. guess that's next.

fridge is 3C and the deep freeze is -20C, Jayman its at -34C but he's stone cold there in Winterpeg Opps Winnipeg.
Edit: all the hardware on every thing I work on is in metric yet when I'm working on the metal lathe or the milling machine I do it all in inches. Thousands of, mainly.

but Cº is as bad as mpg. Kº is the only real scale. its also the only scale that does not need to be converted to be used in any formula. (with the obvious exception of the Cº to Fº conversion)

Nothing for me to vote for here. I need instant graph going to 100 only and numbers to 255 on the text screen.

numbers on graph could go to 255 but the full bar should be at 100.

The one exception would be if we had 5 mile bar graphs, then a full range to 255 for the bars would become useful.

I would like to see a 3 dimension graph of time/mpg and $PG = yes that is a dollar sign - you enter the cost of your fillup , then the computer plots the cost of each mile you travel.
