Is there anything I can do to keep Prius battery cooler?

    ...are the Gen3 fans looking completely free of lint build-up like Gen2 had without the filter?

    No. There are numerous reports about lint buildup on the fans. They need to be inspected to verify no lint buildup.

    I have checked mine recently and the fan is clean. Those with dogs or other animals need to be especially cautious of checking and cleaning the fan regularly.

    Some have installed some filter material behind the vent in the rear seat.

    I just had a thought, since I drive my 2nd gen alone for work. I could fabricate a duct that transmits the vent air from the passenger right side directly into the traction battery intake. Is there also a vent under the passenger seat?

    not sure about a vent under the seat, crank the a/c a have a feel around.
