    Michelin Energy Saver A/S

    Expensive, but worth every penny.

I miss them in comparison to the Michelin Primacy I have now. These are Ok, but not what the Energy Saver's were.

I second the 422's. I just put 4 on my 2008. $380 out the door (tax and everything included) from Costco.

There are other threads on here already about "the best tires", at least two I think.
    Have you looked there ?

Just pricing lrr tires for the wife's tdi w/16" wheels, 102$(shipped) for the 422's. 206$(shipped) for the Michelin Energy Saver(summer), having just put a set of 422's on my hatchback, being very satisfied, knowing the Michelin's are louder... cannot justify spending twice as much, the tread on the 422's is aggressive, looks like a better water evacuation system then the Michelin, if Michelin pulls their collective head's out and prices the tire properly they would be a consideration.
(She just sold a golf tdi with two set's of wheels, one set of new enery savers and one set of new ‎Nokian Hakkapeliitta with studs 15" wheels with a 5x100 hub, grinning and bearing it) ;)

Also Bridgestone is offering a 70$ credit card with purchase of 4 tires, Michelin has most of it's other brands around the same price(125$), but for the energy saver they think they have the cat by the tail, not my idea of doing business, both sides don't walk away happy, (one's ecstatic and the other grumpy) ;)
