I have had my new Prius for 2 weeks but I finally did the paperwork and paid for it on Friday night. I spent several weeks looking for a package 8 in the greater Seattle area and put down a deposit at one dealer but they did not seem to be working very hard to get the car.

One of the last calls I made was to Bob Bridge, Renton Toyota Scion. I spoke to Dwight Haughton and found out they had a silver package 8 but some one was in the middle of working out the purchase.

The next day I got a call from Dwight informing me that the previous buyer lost there financing and the car was no longer sold. I told him I was in the middle of a re-fi and asked what I had to do to get him to hold the car for a couple weeks, fully expecting him to say I have a waiting list and can’t do that. But he said let me run your credit and get some info on you and then you can take it and pay us latter. Wow! I was out the door on my way to Renton.

I picked up the car and said I would call you latter and work out the details. Friday I went in to pay for the car and talk to them about the extended warranty. So, I told them I can get the 7/100 warranty on line for $990.00, they charge $1800.00 and they said ya, we have heard about that. I liked them so far so I said I would give them $1200.00 for it rite now. They said no, we will give it to you for $990.00. I was totally impressed. I never expected a dealer to turn down money to make sure I was happy.

If you are looking for a Prius in the Seattle area I highly recommend talking to Dwight at Bob Bridge Toyota Scion. I am very happy with the experience so far.

Hey, I got my car at Bob Bridge too! I went through their internet department, Jim Dawson.

My husband will most likely go through them when he decides to get his RAV4 either late this year or next year.

Curious who the first dealer was. I've been waiting for a car from Rodland in Everett for months... with not much action. OK, zero action!

I had a deposit down at Kirkland Toyota. I had caled and talked to Rodland but they said it would be at least 8 weeks. They also did not seem to care weather i whent with them or not. I like to work with people that at least pretend they want my money. Call Bob Bridge and talk to Dwight. He may be able to get you a car faster. Tell him Chris Anderson sent you.

I wish I could remember the salesman’s name, but, I had a similar experience at Bob Bridge. My father was looking at the Tundra and the F-150 and the Bob Bridge salesman actually helped my Dad find a good Ford dealer (Bowen Scarff). He was straight up and told my father, "If you want a Toyota then I would like to have your business, if you don't want a Toyota then I want you to get the best deal possible." Against my advice my Dad bought the F-150, but, true to the salesman's claim

I could not believe his honesty. I only wish they were closer to my neck of the woods.

When i called bob bridge they were adding in a 2500$ markup. I found this to be the norm for all the toyota dealers in king/sno counties. Lake city wanted $3500 more....

    This was 2 months ago.

If you dont mind me asking, did you pay over MSRP?

I ended up taking an hour drive to olyimpia and got a 2006 #5 for 700 under msrp.

That is great to hear. They told me with any major service (4 hrs or more), I will be entitled to a loaner car.

I got mine from Bob Bridge too. Very friendly, caring individuals. My old car had died and I was in the market anyway and had selected the Prius. Called them up and the sales rep, Patrick Grennan, told me that there was a car on its way in later that week, and I placed my deposit. He called me up told me it was in, as soon as I got there the car was ready for me. Paid MSRP for it. Overall very satisfied.

Well I just placed an order, since it's for MSRP. I was given an estimate of 6-8 weeks.

I was promised a Prius in 3 months from Rodland. They did not deliver and kept stringing me along until I said enough is enough and started calling around WA and OR to find one myself. I found one within 2 days through the TOYOTA dealer in Aberdeen WA and take delivery this weekend. \

If I had waited for Rodland and all their BS, I would have totally lost out on my $3150 tax credit because the 60,000 vehicle point would have been long surpassed.

DO NOT PUT UP WITH DEALERS STRINGING YOU ALONG. YOU OWE THEM NOTHING. SHOP AROUND VIA THE INTERNET AND PHONE AND FIND A PRIUS. IT IS SO EASY TO DO BY YOURSELF.

AVOID FIVE STAR IN ABERDEEN, WA. They have very poor customer service. Once they get your money you are a name and a number to them.

I had the same experience with Rodland. I had very specific requirements as to colour/interior/package so I was prepared for a longer
than usual wait. After 4 months and no foreseeable delivery, my wife and I went with Toyota of Yakima. They told us to expect a car
in 8 weeks. They delivered in 6. The specific colour/interior/pacjage I wanted.

I don't believe our Rodland salesman was deliberately dishonest with us, I believe that Rodland management is just not being honest
with themselves as to how long it takes them to deliver a specific vehicle.
