Had my recall done and after 1000 kms I don't notice any difference. FE is much the same.

Had that floating feeling for the first time today after hitting a metal joiner on a bridge. Scary for a fraction of a second. Have had my brake recall done too!

On the subject of the recall. Anyone noticed that ECO mode seems better, yet NORMAL seems noisier?

Post-recall, the change in driving dynamics between the 3 modes have increased, whereby eco is even more dull and power is even more sensitive. I just drive in Normal 75% of the time. I probably touch the EV Only mode button more than ECO/PWR.

Yes. I have found that Eco mode works better than it used to, and I now prefer it over normal mode.

I have always used ECO mode unless I am starting an on-ramp to the interstate then I set it to PWR. Eco mode is much smoother now.

On another note..it seems the data and research we done has quieted the crowd and nay sayers quite a bit.

I just gave up telling what I found. I might actually take my car out of storage soon. Kind'a getting the itch to drive it again.

I find people's perception of changes a bit funny. For example, -I- thought eco mode gave me -more- power because I was spinning the wheels on acceleration - well, skidding I guess, as the car won't let them spin. I'm sure it's just me and my easy to confuse brain.

Had mine done March 7, happened to be in for routine service and asked about the recall, they had the software and did it as part of the visit. No adverse effects on mileage or anything else.

Anti-lock braking and acceleration traction-control are two different functions. I'm not sure if Prius has the latter.

Regarding perception of change: I find it's most acute right after the change, and then tapers off. You get used to the new status quo.

After we got the recall it definitely felt easier slipping into, and staying in, electric-only.

My wife made the same observation, without me asking about it.

Have not had it done yet.

I live in power mode and am afraid that it will lose it's responsiveness.

Had my recall done yesterday. Haven't noticed anything different. MPG's and power seem the same. I always use ECO mode.

It probably will BUT (and it's in capitals as it's a big but) my inverter also blew when I was in power mode giving the car some, erm hard encouragement

I actually feel I get more power now in the sense that ICE is initiated even quicker so it has a second more to rev up to optimal RPMs for power delivery. I guess right off the line the electric motor is doing a bit less work meaning you do lose a bit right off the line. I need to do more street ra...err I mean Drag Racing :sneaky:

Yes, prius has a traction control. I used to trigger it a lot (light on the dash). Now, I can't after the recall. I don't believe I'm the only one who noticed the difference.

I'm talking dry asphalt here while making fast left turns.

Is Prius too weak to spin the tires after the recall :( I tried hard last winter to get one stuck in the snow but it kept moving forward :)
