In the last thread about this, I said that my son had backed into a concrete post, after that the SRS light came on and the pass. airbag light says OFF all the time. I had the code read.... free by the way @ my local garage instead of for $85 @ the ripoff dealer. But the code can't be cleared. The owners manual even has something about this in it, but all it says is it in this system.

Code 1650, The passenger or occupant classification system. The computer for this system is located under the passsenger front seat and was connected but hanging out of its bracket. I snapped it back in but don't know where to trace it to. I have no idea how this would be affected bby a hit in the rear bumper. In the Bentley Book, most codes have what system they go with and in the next column has possible area of problem. This is the only one that is totally blank in the possible area column. So.... there is no info on WHAT to check in that system. So far this is the only thing that Bentley has failed on. But I need to know! Any ideas, and don't tell me to take it to the dealer unless it is a last resort. There has to be an easier way to check it out.

    Thanks,

    Frank

After airbag Deployment, and after replacement airbags are installed, The SRS computer must be replaced or reset.
Contact me for a replacement SRS ECU module. the cost is 65 dollars , but you need to mention you saw it on priuschat.

Did you have any luck with this? I have the same issue and not sure how to proceed. I downloaded the PDF file from dogfriuend and AM not certain how to proceed with this. Any help would be appreciated!
