platinum extended warranty prices--do they vary from dealers

    I just got a 2013 Five lift back and paid $1500.00 For Platinum 7 yr. 120,000.
    I got her at Darcars in Maryland.

    Yep! Ask Troy about other plans with less mileage. In my case I did not put as many miles on my Prius, so I got the platnium plan for 75,000 miles for seven years because I new I would not put that many miles on in seven years. Also I purchased just befor the regular three year warranty expired. This was on my 2005. We will see in two more years if I'am getting the warranty on my 2012, have some time to decide. :) I saved Hundreds of dollars by going with less miles 75,000 plus I saved my money until just before the three year waranty ran out. So made a little intreset on my money. Plus I could decide to get or not get the waranty on how well my car was driving after three years or purchase a new Pruis.

    These are the prices I got from Jerry for my 2013 Prius 3 in August:
    7 YEARS 75,000 MILES $654.00, 7 YEAR 100,000 MILES $999.00
    7 YEARS 125,000 MILES $1,294.00

    8 YEARS 75,000 MILES $769.00 8 YEARS 100,000 MILES $1,149.00
    8 YEARS 125,000 MILES $1,589.00

    I got the Platinum 8 yr. 75,000 for $769.00 ( I don't drive much ) BUT, I got it from my dealer because I told him I wouldn't pay a cent more!
    He grumbled a lot but accepted it. I wouldn't tell him where I got that price so that they don't start coming after the people like Jerry.
    Your Prius 2 may be a lower price than mine.

    I bought a new Toyota last week and called Troy to get his prices on extended warranties. He informed me that Toyota/Lexus have a new policy of not allowing VSAs to be sold across state lines. Apparently the other dealers were getting annoyed at not being able to sell VSAs at stupidly inflated prices, so they pressured Toyota/Lexus into changing their policies. This is a real bummer.

    Anybody know the current prices from dealers in Oklahoma City area? Have a 2012 V with a bit over 5K on it and the wife's has a 2013 Prius 4. Thanks...

    Yea it is a shame about troy...I got one of his warranties on my old 2007 Prius3. Sold it for the V since I wanted a bit more room.
