Burning Smell After Harsh Acceleration?

    You are just burning the NEW off;) ; It's NEW for the first 12,000 miles; nothing to worry about:) ; unless you start smelling something while driving normal, slow speeds, low RPM's.

    My girlfriend and I just took a test drive in the 2014 C II, she actually got on it a little bit and I smelt it too. It actually smelled a bit more like clutch burn then oil burn to me.

    It's probably the new car smell coming from the vents. Did you test drive another to see if you can smell it again? What dealership did you do this at? Make sure I don't end up with it LOL

    It honesty could be. I've personally never bought a brand new car. I told her there is a break in period for the engine and to take it easy for a while. She also got a six year warranty, so I'm not too worried haha. It was Jones in Bel Air MD
