Relooking at warm-up

    That is why I decided to take another look at warm-up in cold temperatures. I have seen the ~1 minute delay in the summer but I don't have any metrics from warm-weather, cold soak. Just I'm seeing a consistent pattern, 40C w/o heater, and 55C with heater. The other stages are OK by me but that was not my study.

    You're in a different climate than North Alabama and finding a heated garage . . . well some folks may have them but not us.

    Now if you'd like to replicate the methodology, you'll need a miniVCI (~$35) and Windows XP laptop. This will give you a way to read out what the car is actually doing in your environment. I'll be happy to share how.
