Microphone sensitivity on a 2006

I don't think so. The microphone is up by the overhead cabin lights. Maybe you should try to direct your voice up in that direction.

I usually make at least one call per day on my commute, often at 65 mph on I-95. None of my callers have complained, despite my propensity, according to my DW, for mumbling. <_< ....Perhaps they're just being polite.

 

Microphone gain appears to have a relationship to voice recognition problems in 2006 models, especially those with Nav.
