black #4 Washington

    Just got on a waiting list/order list today for a Black #4, am hoping to take advantage of the full tax credit before the end of the month. My dealer says the black #4 shouldn't take long since it's not highly desired in my area. is anyone else getting this message or is my dealer stringing me along?

    It's my first new car (and will be my first car payments) and I'm REALLY nervous about such a big purchase!!!

    Where in Washington and what dealer? Some of the dealers in Washington do string people along.

    As far as your full tax credit, don't worry about getting your car this month - you will get the full credit as long as you take delivery by June 30,2006 and probably thru September 30th as Toyota has only sold approx 20,000 hybrids thru February.

    Dealer is Toyota of Seattle. So far, it has been my most decent experience with a dealer for the Prius.

    Hmm... my understanding of the tax credit was full credit for the first 60,000 cars or by the end of the first quarter for 2006, whichever came first. Then they're cutting it down to half as part of the phase out. And the first quarter ends March 31.
