I'm a frequent visitor to my dealership with issues like this (as opposed to many of the folks here with lots of technical expertise.) I have learned/experienced similar events. You may want to look into the more technical "reset" and personalized options instead of the basic user manual. I'm purely guessing that all of the items you refer to need to be reset and re-synched, or the computer system being put back to factory settings.

Having said that, I ultimately had to have the dealership replace the entire navigation unit. The final straw that broke the camels back was when the navigation unit was changing radio stations and also couldn't find it's way home.

Good luck with this one. There are lots of folks on this forum with more technical expertise than I.

I tried while in PARK mode as well, it is n't responding.

UPDATE: Thanks etobia :) my Phone's media is now connected to Prius's audio. I had to reset the whole Audio setting and connect it. No.2 is resolved now. Still 1 and 3 are pending..ANY Reply would be appreciated.

I'm glad you got #2 working but wow, that's one helluva username to keep should you decide to hang around Priuschat (which we all hope you would do). :)

PS: should you want to hang around and have a different username, just shoot me a PM, I'd be glad to try and help ya' out with that.

Don't at all feel bad, I had the exact problem, I've only got mine 90% fixed:( I'am tired (and so are they) of going to the dealers, some of them don't understand it either, they just press things, sometimes they get it, something times not! I was always a windows guy but my wife bought me an IPhone 4 when I got the car, both very had for me:(

What Android version is your phone using? My phone didn't synch well until I upgraded my phone from Honeycomb to Ice Cream Sandwich. Now with Jellybean, it works even better. Hope this is helpful.

My Droid is at 2.3 and works fine. Samsung. Depends on the drivers included in your phone s/w by the manufacturer. Be glad you don't have an iPhone, the reports of their synching have been horrible.

    ISSUES -
    Hi All,
I just got a pre-owned Prius 2010 package 4. It would be very helpful if you could help me with these questions -

    1. Voice Command not responding when I hit the button on the steering wheel.

    2. Address tab in NAV is disabled- when i try to add address to destination, the address ICON is disabled

Does the NAV DVD has something to do with the VOICE COMMAND ? Please let me know.
I am thinking if the version of the NAV DVD on my PRIUS is really OLD and hence the voice command isn't working ? IS this Assumption CORRECT ?

    Hi Again,

    1. When I use my Voice Command button on the steering wheel I have to first push the off hook button and then the Voice Command button. Seems weird because I often just want to access the Nav system to go home and the phone shouldn't have anything to do with it.

    2. Whenever working with the Nav system you must be parked. Tabs and choices will go gray if moving.

The only thing I think the nav dvd is affecting (at this point) are the navigation buttons on the navigation screen. It could be the navigation systems interaction with the screen as well. Have you removed and reinserted the nav dvd? When my dealership went to take it out it was stuck! My caution is don't let them rope you into needing the most current Nav dvd......... have them make sure the current one is functional.

    Keep us posted!

Sometimes these cars and phones need a good old fashioned reset. iPhones should work seamlessly. If it is having trouble connecting, shut the phone off........ make sure the phone isn't shown in the list of telephones on the Nav screen. Turn your phone back on and then have the cars system find the iPhone.

    Keep us posted.

    Hi All,
I got all the problems fixed, the solution being Prius 2010 relies on the Map DVD LATEST VERSIONS for its voice commands to work. Got the latest and its good now. Having said that moderators, I will continue to use this great website and will help other Prius users as well - with the same user name :)

How did you update Map DVD, through Toyota? Or did you just purchase a new DVD and just insert it?

Unfortunately no maps for the toyota oem navigation head units, i tried everything but with no luck. they are working on AISIN operating system which is specifically made for toyota head units so no way you can hack into them or make them use other map types like tomtom or garmin. I just use my phone for nav when i need it.

You can try a chinese aftermarket head unit which has all the whistles and bells for about 250 to 300 JDs

Thank you Anas, I tried as well, but with no luck

I don't think it worth to buy a new head unit and abandon the original one just for the navigation, my HTC one max (6") is doing the job perfectly ;-)

but I think the Jordanian dealer (Al Markazeih) is selling Prius 2013, do they selling it without navigation?
